Jefferson's deal is for 3 years. He is often injured, he can't play D pass run the floor and he is a ball stopper. There is also danger he will eat his way out of the league over the length of that contract.

The Rox are light years ahead of where the Mavs find themselves this morning - they still have a young star to try to build around. The Mavs have a rapidly aging Dirk and Wes Matthews. Parsons is gone. DWill is gone. They lost Chandler last year while chasing Jordan. They have no bonafide PG, SF & C yet all you heard up here was Plan A (Whiteside) & Plan B (Batum) with the tone being that they were in the driver's seat. They even used another ridiculous cartoon in their presentation to Whiteside. No, I'm laughing at their arrogance and hubris which has served them so well up to this point.
