Lakers gonna roll out Shaq, Kobe, James Worthy, Magic Johnson?

 

This means nothing, first meeting was with Lowry last time...his agent I'm guessing is pushing for this more than Kent himself since he didn't want to meet with anyone before the 4th or 5th of July.

 

KJ McDaniels + more minutes = Kent Bazemore

 

James won't give a damn about the guys being there. Why would he? He'll care about how good the team is. Can we contend. That, and the 5th year.

Not gonna lie, this will be fun to watch

 

For those saying that 4 years, $60 million is nuts, consider this: The salary cap just increased 34 percent. If you think in contracts in terms of percentage of the cap, that same contract a year ago would have been roughly 4 years, $45ish million. Would you have been willing to pay an up-and-coming young 3 and D player with elite athleticism $11 million per season a year ago? Probably so, right?

 

Not a gimmick. Feigen said Bazemore and Horford are "extremely close". That doesn't mean we automatically get Horford if we sign Bazemore, but it certainly helps.

Think about it like this...say your best friend is also a co-worker. Your friend takes a different job and tells you his new company has a spot for you as well. Now there are several other things to think about, but I'd at least think about it. That's all the Rockets want....for Horford to think about it.

no bc bazemore isn't that good. he not worth anything in the double figures even under the old cap

 

If we will count the overpaid role players (after breakout year) the last few seasons, can anyone name who actually had raised to another level in his new contract?

Aron Baynes?

Carroll?

Jodie Meeks?

Or even Jackson in the Pistons, after he got a max contract, he is playing ok to decent there, but does anyone will consider him being a star PG?

Middleton or Henson in the Bucks?

 

hes 27 years old. there's not much up and coming about him. if you're happy with what he does now then thats fine.

 

Role players go to the highest bider almost always.
Bazemore was playing D-league and hasn't made any money.
If you think just because we are better than the Nets he will turn down more $ to come here you are naive.
We dont' even know how big our offer was.

Perhaps our offer was 15 per and the Nets offer him 20 per. Why would he turn that down?

 

This is what I picture most of clutchfans right now complaining about the potential contract. I always forget how many grade A managers we have on this forum. We should be so happy guys :grin:.

 

So if we could get Bazemore and Horford, we could then trade Ariza or Brew + Bev + fillers for Bledsoe(or Rubio). Potential starting lineup:

Capella
Horford
Bazemore
Harden
Bledsoe/Rubio

Yeah Middleton raised his game to another level after he got his contract.

 

Kent is a better shooter, shares the ball a little more, gets less fouls, and has little more pts per 36 minutes.

Yeah I'd have to agree with you about KJ. He's not quite there yet. He becomes a liability on offense.
