I'm starting to get nervous about the whole thing. I can't see Daryl matching the numbers that are being thrown around so far. I hope we have some low key targets in mind after this fury of ****.
Rockets are prepared to offer a 4 year $60M deal. Bazemore looking for at least $70M https://twitter.com/SportsWhispers/status/748728181549518848 …
Yeah I think the main thing is Dudley is a SF/PF, and we need more of a SG/SF (like Bazemore) If we keep Dmo, Beasley and Harrell who play the PF position, as well as Ariza who already can play SF/PF role, paying Dudley big money would be a little redundant. Because not only do we need to bring in someone who can either start or play backup the SF position along with Ariza, but we will also need a that guy to be the main backup SG behind Harden (which Ariza and Dudley are a little to slow to play extended minute at). So might as well knock two birds out with one stone by signing a combo wing player. Bazemore, Crabbe, Lee, Afflalo, Henderson, Rush are free agents that could potentially fill that role. Perhaps we might even look at some players through trade to fill that role (Ross, Lamb, Belinelli, Mclemore, Snell) if the free agents become to pricey.

Oh boy. Please oh Darwin tell me that the Rockets have some nifty trades in their back pockets... It's starting to look like we will have 45 million with nothing to spend it on.
By NBA rules, they have to spend $33 million of it. Now that includes contracts to D-Mo and the rookies, but they have find someone to pay.
teams aren't obliged to hit the salary floor. The players at the end of the season will just share the rest of the money.
1. If you have to pay the money anyways, you may as well get more/better players out of the money. Else your bargain salaries are no longer bargains. 2. If you fall short of that level, it could become a PR situation for a team like the Rockets who have already apparently pissed off a good chunk of the media and who had Morey's "advisor" Hinkie do the same thing in Philly.
1. Not if those salaries go on for years and years. 2. nah. Didn't became a PR situation with two teams who were flirting wtih the salary cap all season for the past 2 years. Did you hear anyone making a huge deal about Portland being cheap? They barely made it last year.
Rockets never give contracts longer than 4 years unless you are like Harden. Plus they currently have 0 guaranteed money for the 2018-2019 season. I honestly don't see that as an issue with the larger caps. Philly did get bad press for that among other things, but the media took it as a symptom of the "bigger fraud". Since when does Portland ever get any press?
Do some sign and trade Morey! All the existing contracts are bargain considering all the crazy new deals due to the new cap.
Someone should photoshop Riley's face on Cubes body and Whiteside head on Chandler's body here Spoiler and maybe add Parsons face on the dude in first row lol
I think one between Mahinmi, Biyombo, i don't think they're going after Dwight but...you never know... Ah yeah, let's hope they overpay Ezeli
