depends who you think is the better player, i think most of the NBA is overpaid so i just focus more on how many years a guy signs for rather than the actual dollars most of the time

    So you'd do 18 but not 19?

This is what good players cost!

It depends on what other moves are made and how well he performs.

nothing to do with standing pat at all

18 would be the most I would be fine with. And I'm talking about both for my teams who are both smh after Bazemore.

He's a GOOD player sorry. He's an okay wing.

Btw do you know which other teams are after Baze? At least 4. One is the Nets.
He will get a lot of money and if the Rockets want him to decide fast, today, they will have to pay even more.

edit : he's NOT a good player. Just an okay wing. Average.

Can we throw the same money at Allen Crabbe and see if Portland matches now that they are signing Parsons?

Crabbe is also a decently athletic wing, is a better shooter and is 2 years younger.

Can he guard the 1 ?

The rockets need to get more dynamic at both guards and bigs. If baze can guard 1's then I'm all for it.

This is a play for horford IMO. No need for Bazemore otherwise

i'd rather stand pat than not have much cap room next offseason or the offseason after that and be locked into bazemore as a significant piece of the puzzle. there are only so many people who can make 20% of the cap on a team.

but it's not about that. it's about using up our cap room and not being able to sign other quality players. 20% of the cap is 20% of the cap, no matter what the cap is at. that means bazemore might be your 3rd best player for the long-term. can you win a title with bazemore as your 3rd best player?

Bazemore can dribble and create for himself. Crabbe can't.

Yes he can guard the 1 but he can't guard well the 3 because he's only 6'4.

plz show me how Bazemore can dribble and create. I would very much like to see that.

i don't think crabbe is any better (unless he always plays like when i watched the por/gsw series) so i wouldn't throw the same money at him, but he certainly seems to have less buzz than bazemore and i would think could be had for less. i'd certainly take crabbe at 14 before bazemore at 20.
