You forgot your misguided "liberal" insult in this post, not that you actually understand the meaning of the word.

Seek help and don't procreate. That should be your only salvation at this point.

Just because there isn't an afterlife doesn't mean that it's not peaceful. If someone is in a lot of pain before death even if they're not going to heaven or hell they aren't suffering anymore. They aren't anything anymore, just like before they were born. Peace doesn't have to just come from some blissful closeness to a deity, it can simply be the cessation of being.

As Nook mentioned, you will get a wide variety of answers.

For me, the New Testament invalidates the Old Testament. However I find the Old Testament more "pure" than the New Testament. Christians have predominately followed the KJV Bible (King James Version) and its many variants. Once you start looking into Constantine and his many councils, one can see how the New Testament could have become very tainted.

To identify as a Christian, one is claiming to be Christ-like, or a follower of Christ. In its pure form, one should only follow Jesus teaching which consist of Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John. Many people follow the apostles teachings(frequently called Apostolics or Evangelicals), which consists most of the New Testament. Personally, I find some slightly contradicting elements in the apostles teachings to Jesus beliefs (such as treating women as second class). Jesus basically taught love God and love your neighbor (everyone else). If one can do this, everything else falls in place.

Then you get into the extremist beliefs... ones who take context, which is very subjective, and create a whole new belief structure off a couple scriptures and throw the rest of the bible out the window. Now I dont want to compare them to Islam extremists verbatim, but Islam extremists do the same things to justify their violence.

    For example:
Now one could draw multiple conclusions from this verse. And with different variants of the Bible, the meanings can change greatly. As you can see, this individual believes the Old Testament is still the law. By this logic, since Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God for being wicked (sodomy), once could continue to further state that its ok for all gays to die. (Im not suggesting people here believe this, only that once can easily tumble down the rabbit hole)
I can easily read it as Jesus was part of the prophecy and he's not here to destroy, but create a new path.

Personally I was raised in dogma and as I grow older, I find it completely disgusting. I respect peoples beliefs until they start intruding on others.

Other than the current Pope and my grandmother, he might be my favorite Christian.

I don't have to accept it at all. I reject it fully. I refuse to bow a knee to a deity that set up those conditions from the start. It's sociopathic.

Sorry, missed the last part of your question. Obviously we cant go around killing animals in your front yard this day and age, but there are many you know you can still keep( just read through them). And also i hate to say it but most churches do not preach anymore. Its all positive_ love everyone. God Himself didn't love everyone so how can you? He hated sinners so EVERYONE is clearly not correct. So always go to the Word (The Bible) before man. You should know your basic right and wrong. ( murder, sleeping with others wives, worshiping of other gods, practicing there teachings-yoga,buddha, MAN,( almost all teachings from man are way off-I mean look at the world today-) And all the other false idols) It all pretty much comes down to repentance though you cant just keep sinning and expect to be good to go when the return happens. You have to remove yourself from your sins- the ones you recognize should be the first to go. nobody is perfect in this world due to all the wrong_ but its the ones who see that ,and take no part and apologize for there past screw ups who are going to make it.

No you do not have to accept it. You can easily reject it but one day you will answer for it. I do not believe you will have a choice when you bend your knee in the future. Your choice is to accept it now. You can call it sociopathic all you want now but you will understand it one day but it may be too late. .

Yes, If GOD is Perfect- then nothing and i mean nothing that happens on this world is for no reason. every death, every earthquake every single broken leg is a punishment for something that person has done. Again you might have read, but you clearly didn't understand.

One correction, God loves sinners but hates the sin.

No he was slightly wrong, God loves the sinner but hates the sin which is why he sent Jesus to wash away the sins if you accept it.

That's the thing. If you read the context liberal is used a praise and not something to be looked down on or despised.
