Not getting a sit down can be depressing, but the Rockets are losing their second best player, have a new coach and are coming off of a mediocre season. The reality is that right now the Rockets are not really attractive like the last few seasons.
I hear what you are saying, but those teams aren't winning titles either. It's a frustrating thing as a fan, but Dallas isn't going to a title because they of their free agent meetings that they get every year. If the Rockets can't get an elite player added to this team they are not going to a win a title, no matter who they get in free agency. Fans need to figure out what philosophy they think this team should have.
Everyone wants to meet with the Mavs first because they suspect Cuban will throw them max and they have that leverage for their next meetings. Doesn't mean the mavs are favorites at all.
Not really, the Mavs clearly have a better coach than the rockets. Their owner (who has a question mark) is better than Les in many people's mind, so they are the another level per se although their team is not better than the rockets.

Not happening. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Mike Conley will not meet with the Rockets according to a source.</p>— Calvin Watkins (@calvinwatkins) <a href="https://twitter.com/calvinwatkins/status/748586129889300480">June 30, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Rockets are not going after him if they have at least a decent chance to trade for a similar level player with half of the salary.
all these players dissing the rockets man, only hope we have so far is horford and he'll probably end up elsewhere in the end.
does no one read the tea leaves? we aren't getting a meeting with these other guys because they aren't our first options. Dallas: Mike we want you first! no one can compare! Houston: Mike, we like you but.... let us see if we can get Horford then Durant first, If not we would love to have you. Players with sure things aren't going to entertain teams who aren't willing to commit 100%. Morey is taking a huge risk, but he's playing to get Durant, don't doubt this.
Not surprising honestly. I can't see how any aspiring PG would want to play with a ball dominant guard like Harden. Maybe if he was a bit more dedicated to playing off the ball, but I doubt that will happen any time soon.
