Seems good on the surface... But 3 of your 5 starters can't shoot. Horrible scenario in today's NBA. Not exactly ideal for MDA's spread offense either.
For what it's worth, Lin said in a recent interview to Chinese media that his favorite coach in his career so far is D'Antoni (6:20 mark) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Z39K8b00NDE?" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> As frustrating as it was to watch Lin when he was on the Rockets, I do think he would do better in a MDA system, and he played pretty well on the Hornets last year. I wonder how much he'll command on the market this year. 7 mil? 8mil? If Zhou Qi does end up coming over this year. I think Lin would invaluable to ease his transition. Lin's Mandarin is good enough to translate for the coaching staff in a pinch.

I'll leave this here too...looks like the Thunder are trying to unload Kanter and Singler to sign Horford.
I like Mozgov as a backup for Capela. Big body that can hold down the paint, solid rebounder, but what I like best about him along with those things is that he's not a complete liability from the FT line like most of our bigs in the past few seasons. He has pretty good touch from midrange and below and won't clog the lane either.
Eh, i agree, Singler doesn't even belogn to the nba imo, Kanter i don't know, i don't like him, i just fear that some desperate team will jump on him but i'm not sure there's a lot of people willin to eat their cap space for him while helping the Thunder in the process to sign a player they may want for themselves...
That pretty much sums up what many of us have been saying since the season ended. The Rockets aren't getting Durant(they're not even being granted a sitdown with the dude). Horford is extremely unlikely. Whiteside will have far too many suitors. I doubt Conley wants to play alongside Harden given how much the latter dominates the ball. So who does that leave? Ryan Anderson? It's rebuilding time. We can either hover around 40-45 wins like we did in the post-Yao/pre-Harden period and waste several years going nowhere. Or we can admit the obvious right now.
How long is Singler's contract? Otherwise unloading Kanter isn't hard. Worst case scenario you throw in a McGary and a Payne.

The Nets should be ALL over that deal. Take Kanter Payne and Mcgary? Boom straight up 3 young talents to make it 5 in total. Then trade Brolo to the highest bidder and here you go with a nice rebuild.
Yeah, Kanter contract is not that huge as today, but he's still not a starting caliber center in today's nba, zero defense, zero team basketball...and that player option doesn't help imo. But like always, it takes only one team...
but he's one of the best bigs in offence who is perfect off the bench and very young. He also can play pf. I would take him over Monroe anyday. Too bad it isn't possible. I would also take him over Okafor probably now that I think about it. Okafor can't play pf and is worse shooter and same crap passer. Both terrible defenders. I don't believe that Okafor will get better in D or his shot so between the two I would choose Kanter.
