After watching that I think we may have a chance, Banister sit in the dugout and watched Dyson singlehandedly blow a huge lead in the ninth and never batted an eye.
I have applied my ridiculous Facebook post workout to the Astros forum. On Facebook, anytime I see a ridiculously wrong meme or post, rather than correct it, I go do some planks. In any Astros thread rather than respond to stupid posts, I do some sort of workout. Keeps the thread cleaner and helps me maintain my svelte figure. Other posters are now following suit.
Again, I dont care that Reed is hitless...its the approach and the way that he's swinging that is off. Look at his mechanics.
Keep in mind thier pitching staff is thin. Way they been playinf. Most managers arnt going to risk over working pitchers for one game. But thier bullpen is a big glaring weakness. If we can tie or win the remaining games we do have a shot
Nice loss!! Wasn't following the game, but updated the standings 2 minutes prior and hadn't posted yet. Muuuch better update now! Would you take 5-2 right now?
Depends which team shows up. On paper rangers should sweep both series. But after seeing that choke fest 5 2 sounds about right. All my rangers fans are reminding me on Facebook that rangers have to just play .500 ball to win devision unless astros play over .700 rest of year. We have the superior bull pen so we have the edge
I'd take .500 from Rangers, right now. Better if the H2H was advantage HOU in the 9 remaining games, but just don't get beasted 3-6 or worse and there's a legit chance. Biggest X-factors between April-May vs the Turn Around, is 4 through 9. Springs-Tuve-Los are already a good enough (and could [probably will] get better) Top-3 offensive tandem on a champion. Dropping Vally/Marwin to 2 (Derek Bell-style) has makes it 5-9, but the bottom order is getting it done. Real, the entire lineup could lessen a little overall (and Stros still take the division) if Keuchel rests 2 weeks. 80% of '15 going forward with the lineup-bullpen is a legit WS situation.
What an amazing turn around this month. It's been damn fun. I know the current race is for a WC spot....but come on Rangers, keep blowing em like tonight....
In the last 37 games the Astros have played they are 25-12. If you take out the games against you know who, they are 24-6. So, the Astros winning percentage since May 20th, against teams not named the Texas Rangers, is .800. Crazy.
Don't look now, but we're only 2 games under .500 (20-22) on the road.... last year we finished 33-48. We haven't dominated at home like '15, but hopefully we've already played our worst ball of the year.
Honestly, they may have already exceeded (or very close to) their road series wins this year vs. what they had all of last year.
Last year on this day we were at 45 wins. Amazing that we are only 3 games off pace from last year considering the terrible start.
