Drummond is getting that fifth year Max from detroit. No point in wasting our time on that.

We need to go after Conley and horford offer both the max and just tool around them over the next few years. If harden I clicking that team can make a surprise trip to a finals.

They really shouldn't, it's just time wasted, the Pistons will match everything without question, making an offer will just eat hal of our cap space for three days with no reason. Btw Drummond is not even that good, Dwight today is still better than him. Better scorer, better ft shooter, better defender....Drummond is a better rebounder but that's it, he's still young, but i don't see him getting that better honestly...

That Dwight Howard article by Howard Beck was excellent.

Rockets will have some true addition by subtraction with Dwight gone next year.

Honestly I wouldn't take him back at 5 million, I just don't think it will ever work out chemistry wise. Better for both sides to part.

Rockets know Dwight is the best they can <strike>get</strike> in this free agent market. But Dwight's gonna return the middle finger.

Who does it benefit the most to leak a rumor of the Rockets having interest in Dwight? Who is the guy that Amick's been consistently close with for years? Who is the guy that needs positive press after Howard Beck tore apart his market?

    Think about it.

With all due respect, Howard Beck didn't tear apart Dwight's market. Dwight doesn't want to consistently do the things he does well. Dwight admitting on tv that he basically quit on the team at times hurt his market. Dwight having multiple stops with the same results hurt his market.

I supported the Dwight signing from the jump, but last year showed why he's had issues over the years. Dwight wants and believes he's something he's not. It's a shame, because Dwight could be a damn good player in this league, still. Dwight has ruined Dwight.

Mostly accurate. Just saying, free agency is often about the perception -- and Dwight's camp needs at least the illusion of a strong market to get him the type of deal he wants. For Beck's article to come out the day before the beginning of free agency is not ideal for him, and the best he can do to counter it is "show" that he has a list of interested teams.

    Yes, all very good points.

I just don't understand why Dwight doesn't seemingly get it. He would still be a superstar if he played to his strengths. The respect would be there from his peers if he played to win.

I like Dwight the person, but the player has been largely disappointing. So much potential wasted.
