This is the former Astro tracking thread. Nick and I were both talking about ex-Astros which is the purpose of this thread. Please stay on topic.
My friend, we are only trying to TALK baseball. Now, would you PAY Straily this offseason or not?????????????
Again, we are all talking about ex-Astros today. In particular, Straily, who had another poor start and VV who is scheduled to return from the DL tonight. Please stay on topic.
My FRIEND, I do fantasy baseball and let tell you this, Straily is ON the waivers now and my LEAGUE has ALOT of teams. Now, the question is THIS, would you paid Straily 4/40 mil this past offseason? He had a better WHIP for a month and half than K. I said Straily would come back to EARTH, I was right. I said he would get rocked several games in a row, I was right. Devenski!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, you WOULD paid Straily? Now, my question to YOU is this, would you package Bregman/Reed/K/Springer for Straily or would THEY laugh at us????????? Now, if we REMINDED them that Straily WHIP was not as good over past month, maybe they do not laugh?????!!!!!!!
Well, I suppose this is the alternative to ignoring him. Cangremumblestupidthings -- I hate to ask but do you realize what is going on?
Sucks for him... but at least I don't have to hear about his AAA updates and somehow be ashamed about losing him based on just that. Is next year his sink/swim year?
Off the top of my head, Brian Bullington is the worst college pitcher ever taken #1 (and that was all because of $), Appel has a chance. I kinda feel sorry for him, but so far for whatever reason he was just never mentally with it, which is the last thing you'd expect from a guy with his pedigree. Maybe this has been bothering him longer than we know, pitchers are notorious for not being honest about arm problems.
You don't have to hear about anything, just don't open the thread. Then those of us who want to read about former players don't have to read you whine about it all the time.
Are you serious? What's your problem? Did an ex-Astro offend you or something? I do take issues when people question the front office's decision making based on an underachieving players' MINOR league numbers.
I enjoy the updates and whatnot, it's the "OH NO WHY didn't we keep this guy" kind of posts (especially after some player has 1 good week or hell, game) that are bothersome. But that's just me.
