    Lulz, Lulz, Lulz.

Guess who is the youngest of that bunch, albeit not big differences between them?

Machado only has 2 more years of control and is going to have much higher salaries than the other 2 for those next 2 season.

    Boegarts has 3 years left.

Lindor? I'd say he has been better, as it is closer than expected offensively, and Lindor is much better on the defensive side, but the gap between the two isn't big enough for one to consider and the other not.

Another good start...something tells me Keuchel is gonna be vintage 2014-15 today

Please make a Mike Trout thread if everyone wants to j*zz over him, but let's talk about the Astros in here, sound good?

    Nice, Carlos!

Angels broadcast just showed a graphic for CC's strike zone: He's well under ~.250 everywhere on the horizontal lower and upper 1/3rds, and about .450something in the middle.

Altuve and Correa is this generation's Biggio and Bagwell and have a very good chance of out performing Biggio and Bagwell.

Gomez has looked so much better since the DL stint.

good swing by Gomez, nice line drive even though it was an out.

I just can't believe Correa is hitting under .270 with that great swing he has to right field, this guy should be hitting .300 easily.

Agreed and just going off stats alone, Correa has outproduced all of these guys on a 162 game average:

    162 Gam Ave OPS+:

    Correa - 130
    Machado - 120
    Lindor - 119
    Bogaerts - 105

He'd definitely "get you a seat at the table".

Your assertion was that they've "proven" to be All-Star level players. No, they haven't.

Correa and Springer are a bundle of "might"s, "could be"s, "if healthy"s...

Trout and Springer are both signed/club-controlled through 2020. And the money on Trout - given his production - is not insane. In fact, the $36MM they're paying him this year and next may register as one of the better deals in baseball.

Sorry, man - Correa and Springer are very good. Mike Trout, though... he's playing on another universe.

What is it about Pujols that has the Astros panicking on defense?

This is the 3rd or 4th potential DP he's hit into, but not executed due to somebody "rushing" (when it requires no rushing whatsoever to throw out Pujols).

MDA apparently paid more to have the K-zone on permanently today (at least so far, in the 1st, with the bases loaded).

That was a slow, 2 hopper into the hole. And a low throw. And the runner was sliding in as he caught the ball. The rush seem justified imo

It's not that Keuchel isn't getting calls this year so much as it is him just not being sharp.

Cron is .476 with the bases loaded.
