Why x2? Simple math, if one person was for it before but is now against, that is a shift of 2 not 1. 51-1 = 50 49+1 = 50 is an example, before it was +2 now it is even.

    What a tool Nigel is.

    "You're not laughing now!
    (vs 4 minutes later)
... I would like to see a grown up and sensible attitude..."

Ummm, nothing like leading by example. LOL.

Why would the EU punish UK? They were established to prevent such "punishment".

If Time Magazine has any journalistic integrity remaining, they will award Nigel Farage as their Time "Man of the Year".

Of course that would not mean they agree with the outcome of his efforts, which as proud members of 'the establishment,' they surely won't. But who has had more of an effect on the world this year than this man, I would argue for the better?

If not Nigel Farage, then who? And please don't embarrass yourselves and suggest Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.

    Hard to beat 1938

TIME explained what was perhaps the most controversial of its choices thus: "Hitler became in 1938 the greatest threatening force that the democratic, freedom-loving world faces today" (1/2/39).

I would just like to say that if TIME magazine has "any journalistic integrity," they will necessarily agree with any and all of my views. That is all.

"Uninformed"? Can you explain why the U.K. is experiencing this punishing "Shock and Awe" campaign post-Brexit?

uninformed maybe not the best term, it is more like people cannot see the consequence of their action, this is exactly the same situation in the US with Trump.

I think calling Farage a self-centered ******* who has helped severely damage his own country and her allies would be a tad more accurate, ATW. Yeah, he's a bad person, as well.

That was a terrible speech. It's one thing to express your opposing viewpoint, it's entirely different to go and insult everybody in the room. ;( Just so sad.

I'm really surprised Farage is only 52. I thought he was 10 years older.

Me too. It also add that it bothers me that all the right-wing Americans that like him don't understand how nativist and far-right UKIP is.

I have relatives that post Britian First and Le Pen propaganda on FB and don't realize these people are the ideological descendants of people like Oswald Mosley. Or maybe they do, which troubles me even more.

Most of what he said is true. No need to beat around the bush. Especially to people making other people's lives miserable.

You cannot put BNP, Britain First and UKIP in the same category.
