I was kidding. It doesn't matter how badly we argue, how obnoxious you get, or how psychopathic I am. The last thing you want to do is ban individuals just b/c they see things different politically or otherwise. I still have never put anyone on ignore the entire time I've been on ClutchFans- actually, maybe one person a few years back... nothing you have ever said was bad enough for me to put you on ignore... it's ultimately just differences of opinion that, if we were face to face, we'd discuss it rationally. The 'net just encourages a bit more contentiousness.
Well, I admit that I go off sometimes - and get punked, clowned (like on April Fools Day), etc. I read posts I write and cringe, for sure. So, that's fair game.
OK, in hindsight that list was actually pretty clever. But the Moo Goo Gai Pans? Dunno about that one. And you have to admit, it is a bit stereotyping. It's not like that is all those posters post about.
I'm not the only person who posts multiple posts in a row. There's that guy... remember, the dude from the thing posted multiple times about that major argument.
I doubt Trump wins and I'm also hoping he doesn't... However, even if he does I think he reels his act in and becomes a more sensible president than he is now as a presidential candidate.
Trump will reign in his behavior due to having more professional staff and concrete criminal and civil consequences if he screws up or cuts corners, but that's irrelevant because his impulsiveness and contradictions are informed by the same basic political and administrative ignorance that will taint his governing, it's not as much of an act as entitlement and immodestly that will prevent any chance of public credibility or competence.
Being a State is a little more involved that being a partner in a trade and relations agreement. You don't just vote to leave and walk away.
In case anyone takes it seriously, I think the worst impact on TX would be the enormous influx/immigration of seriously unskilled economic liabilities that would be celebrating red state independence. Of course, the loss of federal funds for research at all the UT, TAMU campuses, at the medical center, and the loss of federal military $s and bases, would be a pretty nasty punch as well, especially when paired with the first. What happens to a town like El Paso when the military leaves?
I know we're talking politics but we (Texans) are way dumber than Brits, at least the ones from like 200 - 300 years ago.
Texas does not have the right to leave the union. No state does. These idiots are in every state.......in the south. Hell, there are some in California.
Yet another stupid thread about this? It ain't happening, dude. It would be illegal and we've already had a civil war that settled this question. The only thing Texas could do that is allowed under the treaty that brought her into the United States is to divide the state into as many as 5 smaller states. That's it, chump. Discussing the idea of leaving the United States is a complete waste of our time.
It's bizarre reading these posts by people who clearly have no grasp of American history and our system of government. I see the same crap over and over again. All I can figure is that there are either some incredibly bored people here, or some ignorant people determined to incredibly bore the rest of us.
If it's only that - boredom. I hope this is not the next mass phase of willful ignorance and mistrust of everyone to protect some self image, viewpoint or system of belief.
