Novak is poised to make a run at him though... in fact, his run of consecutive GS finals is about as impressive as anything in tennis.

There won't be another specimen like Bonds... he already had the game mastered prior to any PED that basically made him literally super-human.

IBB/bonds comment was a bit of a hyperbole...obviously Trout shouldn't be walked *every* time [and comparing anyone to Bonds treatment is ludicrous].

Just pointing out the contrast between him and the rest of LAA lineup.

I'm sending your message to all MLB scouting departments. Clearly they've missed something. Yeah, what were we thinking. It's not like Trout hits outside pitches for opposite field HRs...he actually hit one against K earlier this year. Not everything is avoidable and you don't have all the answers.

There was probably bigger contrast between Lance Berkman and the 20052--06 Astros lineups... yet he still was able to put up some numbers.

McHugh's pitch count less than 60 after 5. Really hope we don't lose this 1-0.

    2013 he hit .455
    2014 .438
    2015 .308
    2016 .750

Maybe some of you "think" it was a good pitch, but is one that Trout will handle

Only way to pitch him is OUTSIDE, either high or low. Let him get himself out because he is a very bad ball hitter, when is outside.

The curveball was low and inside, he kills that ball. He will K a lot, just don't throw strikes nor pitch inside.

Inch moving Valbuena to second in the lineup looks really good.

    Should he continue there?

That Trout HR was simply amazing. I bet he couldn't do that again if he had 50 swings and knew exactly what was coming and where it was going.

It was a perfect finishing pitch, buried on the outside half of the plate. Castro would have needed to block the ball and throw him out at first....but he miraculously hits it out instead.

To have any reaction as an Astros other than pure admiration is just asinine and strips anyone of whatever baseball knowledge credibility they think they might have.

    Amazing.

That's a HR. That padding doesn't cause such a big ricochet. Glad they called it a HR because don't see anything to overturn the call.
