Looking for the sweep. Shoemaker has had our # the last two times out (until the bullpen comes in). I expect our guys to finally figure him out tonight. We should be able to take care of Lincecum and Weaver with firepower we have in lineup. As for our pitchers, just make sure you make guys not named Trout/Pujols beat you.

Ha, after a few weeks of success, the optimism is back. Just to counterbalance, I'll predict LLL.

Yea the Angels are 2-3 in Shoemakers 5 starts vs the Astros, and his OPS against our current 25 man roster is .748, so nothing great nothing terrible.

I think we win tonight in a relatively low stress way

Yuniel Escobar is still injured, and will not play tonight, at least will not start.

I like BOTH moves, Valbuena hitting second, and playing Gattis as righties hit .289 against Shoemaker.

I hope so. We are 1-1 against him this year but he's been pretty tough both games. The second game I forgot that he actually gave up lead on Marwin's triple. I think of the three guys he poses the most challenge and I hope they beat him down.

I've been hoping to see him in there at some point. Disappointed to see Gattis instead of Marwin, despite the fact that he was our offense yesterday.

I think he will be a good matchup vs Shoemaker, as right handed hitters average .289 against him.

With all of the runs scored in the first 2 games, I wasn't surprised in the least. That's just how things seem to go in baseball...
