Does anyone think Cersei knew her son would die, she seemed to not be upset at all by it. The reason I ask is that what was that black outfit she was putting on? It seemed very royal and it was like she was predicting she was going to be queen by the end of the episode.

Regardless what Roberts actions were going to be once Ned left for Winterfell, Ned was going to leave. That's an established fact that fits Ned's personality as well. My theory was listed as a "Wacky Theory" and posted because the writers chose to keep something a secret from the viewers with Lyannas whisper. Why did they do that? None of us know. Like most theories the one I threw out has a pretty slim chance of being true. One of the most enjoyable part of the books and series has been discussing various theories, most of which never come true.
When she was a child she had been given a prophecy saying all her children would die (beginning of season 5 is a flash back of this). She knew tommen would die because the rest of the prophecy had come true.
No, he stayed in the city to find out about whatever Littlefinger had for him. That's what got him wounded. If he was truly ready to go to war or Robert was going to honestly kill him, he would have rushed out of the city as soon as possible. Or, more likely, if Robert really wanted him dead for treason he would have the Kingsguard seize him right there in the small council room. They had it be a whisper because they were paying service to the scene in the book. They already amplified the scene and the whispering so we could hear more than book readers did. Apparently you and others didn't even hear everything that was said in the scene.

Cercei is VERY misrepresented in this show, that's the only problem I have with it (same with Jaime). The thing most important to her is her son Tommen, in the books she repeatedly says she will do whatever it takes to keep him safe, even if it means losing all power, doing the walk of shame etc. She has lusted for power since she was a little girl, but knowing her son was the king was always good enough for her. This 180 she did is completely stupid. Jaime isn't this stupid in the books either. He refuses to see Cercei when he finds out about Lancel, but for some reason the show plays the incest angle to a ridiculous degree. Very enjoyable season (much more enjoyable than the last two turd books GRRM turned out), but if I had to be nitpicky about something it would be that. 8.9/10 (would be higher if the pacing wasn't ridiculous and it didn't take Snow 4 episodes to get up).
