I enjoyed it overall but I did have a few concerns. Cersei blowing up the High Sept and becoming queen was too clean. The shift in political powers this whole season has been too clean. Instead of backdoor posturing and politics, it's more about killing whoever is in your way instead of manipulating someone else to do it. It's checkers, not chess the way it used to be. Sansa's BP apology to Jon was weak. Jon should be furious because that's a game changer that Sansa withheld. Arya is too OP. She is an unstoppable power, capable of impersonating anyone and assassinating anyone. She also has mutant healing powers that allow her to get her guts ripped to shred, be completely immune to infection from feces water, lose a gallon of blood, and able to parkour the next day. Meanwhile, fully armored Shaq dies instantly from a backstab by a 95 lb girl and Lancel can barely crawl after being shived by a 5 year old. Also, Varys has teleportation. Honestly, he shouldn't have been in the final shot. That's a clear head scratcher that the writers should've avoided. Adventures of Sam and Gilly is still a snooze fest. Don't get me wrong. I like the direction the plot is going. The journey there just hasn't been as well-thought out as previous seasons.
I thought Varys was supposed to be a Faceless Man when I saw him on the boat at the end but I guess not. He rowed to Westeros, rowed back to Essos, and then back again to Westeros with Daenrys? Supposedly their were Dorne ships in Danys fleet too but why would he bring them to Essos only to go back again. I'm so confused.
Because Daenarys needed more ships for her army. btw: I don't see why it's so hard for some to accept that the show goes back and forth in time from one person's story to another's. Don't books do that, too? So, Varys scene in Dorne was a month ago, or whatever necessary, and then he takes the ships to Dany offscreen and catches up to her story.
I think they are going to marry (uniting the north and the south), and then Jon is going to ride one of the Dragons alongside his wife/aunt and take out the hordes of undead and the Night's King. I think Arya will ride the third Dragon.
Maybe Dany doesn't have enough ships to carry all her troops without ships from Dorne? Yara and Theon brought 100 or so ships, and how many ships did she acquire from the slavers in Episode 9? On the other hand, she has about 8000 unsullied and how many Dothraki and their horses? The carrying capacity of each ship doesn't look like a lot form the final scene. I am thinking that maybe the final departure scene was supposed to happen quite some time (weeks?) after all of the other events that went on in the episode.
Yeah I guess it makes sense that they got the Dorne ships to pick them up. Wish they would've make it clearer but I just laughed when I saw Varys standing behind Dany after we just saw him on another continent.
Dont know if serious, but I think they will marry as well, making their alliance and army a serious problem. Varys did say Blood & Fire. Somehow Bran will show up and reveal the fact that Jon is a Targaryen. In which case he will prove it by being burned in a fire and come out unscathed like his aunt/wife. Also, do we know for a fact that Danerys is older than Jon? In the first season they were both pretty young and immature. Danerys was still a virgin and had no clue on how the world worked, so she listened to her brother at the time.
Ok, now Varys teleporting makes sense. That small sigil doesn't seem like something that many viewers would pick up on first watch.
But we need to see Varys sailing the ships from Dorne back to Meereen for Dany's army over the course of a few episodes, so people can complain how boring that is and how Dany getting enough ships at the end is so predictable. And if that doesn't happen, then it's criticism because teleportation.
Yeah, I was being serious -- well, as serious as one can be when having fun speculating on what will happen in a show. I believe Targaryans almost exclusively can ride Dragons, which is why I think Jon will end up riding one. Also, I do think they are about the same age. I believe Danerys was an infant at the time of the revolt, just like Jon.But she is definitely his aunt.
Danny locked up the dragons for how long and now they follow her commands? I guess littlefinger gave varys his teleportation device.
Am i the only one that hoped they would have blown up all of kings landing.. talk about being the most irrelevant place/storyline ever..what is Cercei the queen of? lol
