We paired him with a big fish for 3 seasons. It just didn't work out.

How much of it not working out was due to trying to remain flexible rather than looking for players who could contribute right away?

Boston : Cap space, one of the best young coaches and front office in the NBA, Eastern Conference, Top 3 defense last season.

Houston: Cap space, James Harden, underachieving team, coaching staff change

I wonder if he would have considered the Rockets if he was a free agent last year. Did the non-Harden scrubs really hurt their chances?

Also, why do all the media articles contradict what he has said about relationships and how it's not about money. I guess it's winning>

Boston: no rim protection, no shooting, no real playmaking and only IT to handle the ball and create. Got trashed by Atlanta again in the first round.
    Great team.

Out biggest mistake is that we haven't gotten Slim Thug on this yet. Someone get him on it.

So we're going to place a ridiculous amount of importance on who the head coach is all year (and every other year) and then wonder why Boston would be a more attractive destination than Houston?

I agree Boston is not that good. The rockets are a better team and we all know how much disfunction they had this year.

We would have beat Boston in a playoff series im sure of that.

    Feigen:

James Harden said he would try to recruit his buddy and former teammate. If Durant will give the Rockets an audience, they will make their pitch, but there is little reason to believe he will leave the Thunder to join a team that went 41-41 last season. He could consider contenders, even one that won 73 games last season and eliminated the Thunder in the playoffs, or he could be the missing superstar in Boston. But he is on a team on the rise, reinforced with better depth after Thursday's trade, and in a town that reveres him.

If Boston aren't that good what does that make us?!

Jae Crowder or Avery Bradley would be our second best players easily if they were here.

Once you remove Harden from the equation, what do we have?? Trevor ****ing Arixa? Lol. Smh

When has a star player who was on the verge of making the Finals ever left that team who just added another quality player ever joined a 41-41 team who just got a new coach? Use your ****ing brain.

I'm really curious as to the percentage of people who believe that both Durant will sign with Houston and Trump is qualified to be president.

The Thunder were in that series because their big men were very difficult for the Warriors to deal with. They traded away their strength. Ilyasova is not the defender that Ibaka is or rebounder. They also traded away a player who has led the league in blocks a few times for a guy that gets fewer blocks per game than James Harden. Sure, they got better defensively at the SG position, but they were managing at that position. The SG play did not lose them that series, but the big men got them to a game seven.
