My friend, i will always say the good, the bad and the ugly. If he is doing things good, i will say it. But, if i see the bad and the ugly, i will say it also, even if you don't like it.
So you now think Hinch is a good manager? I think you owe people on here an apology for all your banging on in 100s of posts about how bad Hinch was. We had to read that ****
I don't like or dislike it. It's find to criticise. But you constantly said Hinch was a "bad manager". That means you were wrong. You can't say he's a good manager now and then go back to saying he's bad when we lose a series btw
There's a difference between saying "Hinch is a bad manager" and "Hinch has made a few mistakes here"
Altuve what has gotten into him? Surprised there hasn't been anybody in the media speculating about him. His improvement hitting just seems...unnatural.
Why Gattis over Kemp vs right handed pitchers? Why it took so long for him to move Marwin to hit second? Why he struggles so much with matchups? Until a few days ago, he would not use the bench much, and matchups were against us. Why you saw White in the 8th or 9th winning by 1 or 2 runs, and Marwin on the bench for defensive purpose? Why giles again, and again, and again? Why took him so long to use Feliz is big situations? And to my friend that trashed me when i said Marwin should hit second, well, that homer is dedicated to him, lol
Why? I mean, the guy has been a great hitter every year, has improved pretty much every year. Why is it out of the question for him to develop some power when he's still young/growing like all players at his age do? edit: I'll bring in Brady Anderson as a reference point. He was 32 when is ISO doubled his career mark to that point. Altuve is still only 26, and his ISO the last 4 years: .080, .112, .146, .205 now. Steady increase, and yes a bigger jump this year...but nothing like a guy who people really question
Some of them can be answered by simply explaining that he didn't overreact to short term trends and waited to see how things would work out before making changes. Also, he has to manage the team with a view to a 162 game season, not just thinking of winning the current game. He also has to manage certain player with regard to their future for the good of the club. Giles for example, we gave up plenty for him. We have to keep giving him the opportunity to succeed for a while longer than we might with a cheap free agent. Tbh, I'm drunk so I can't even think very well or explain myself. I'm sure there are others here that can help you out with your questions. Some of them are just mistakes of course, but no one will be perfect. Also, we've been told off by Castor so we have to stop this conversation now lol
