I'm pretty sure Durant realizes how hard it is to win in this league. Even the Miami superteam didn't win the first year. Even "the greatest team in history" couldn't get by LeBron. He's not coming here to be hardens defensive stopper.

Yea sorry man. You don't know what pessimism is, or perhaps you're too blinded by ignorance. You were on such an extreme end of (50/50) and ended up being so blatantly wrong. We aren't talking about him not coming, we're talking about not even getting a meeting. Something Jsizzle, myself, and even clutch, along with many others stated 50+ pages prior to this. If you are going to be this wrong, it helps to show a bit of humility and not incorrectly labeling people as pessimists so people start thinking your vocabulary is as short handed as your Durant acumen. At the end of the day we are all rockets fans and will bear this tough season, watch this team overcome adversity, together. There will be adversity, so not accepting that puts you at the pinnacle of ignorance with respect to this forum. Put your best foot forward and offer rational suggestions to how this team can get better without clinging to pipedreams like Lebron and KD.
Spurs not getting the very first meeting with LMA and the Rockets not even securing a meeting with Durant and be placed as an afterthought along with the Nuggets, is NIGHT AND DAY. We didnt' even get a meeting. Even if we do, he doesnt' take us seriously at all and it will be as a favour. Also because he has planned to leave for China on the 9th he doesnt' even want to waste that much time. Obviously the chosen teams are his preselection and the real contenders to take him and not us. I'm pissed too. But that's the reality. I just don't get how freaking Boston got in instead of us.
It's not about being pessimistic about Durant signing here, it's about being pessimistic overall. If you can't understand why the Rockets would have a good case for Durant coming here then you are blinded by pessimism and despair. No one is asking you to think it's going to happen, but pessimism isn't realism. Having a bunch of Eeyores around here isn't productive, it's just annoying and a bit pathetic.

I'm telling y'all, unless something drastically changes he's not coming. No meeting is good - means he's not wasting his or our time. IF we get a meeting something changed and we should be thrilled.
He's not setting up a meeting with us because he has already decided to sign with us. He's meeting with the spurs and warriors as a courtesy.

Marc Stein on ESPN just said only THREE team have confirmed meetings with KD: OKC, SA, GS. Other teams are just speculated and he reported Houston, Miami, LAC and Boston are teams likely to get meetings.
Whatever you say kiddo, it's not for sure that the Rockets don't get a meeting, but I know when I should just stop trying with people. Everything is bad, we're doomed, there's no point in trying.
Who said that? Of course the Rockets have a good case. They have some things that could be appealing. It's just obvious that other teams have much better cases. Meanwhile, as 0 teams have pitched to KD and all we have are heavily spun whispers based on speculation, Harden and KD have been hanging out on multiple days, multiple locations. Harden said he hasn't pitched to KD during their hang outs, but if you actually believe that then I got a bridge I'd like to sell you.
