Cy Sneed struck out 10 in only 4 IPs, but more importantly he didn't give up more hits than innings pitched.

AJ Reed is now on a full blown tear. OPS in June is .901, and he's hitting .372 over his last 10. Have to think his arrival can't be too far off. The super 2 deadline has very likely passed, so there's no financial benefit to him staying down unless they plan on leaving him down all the way til next year, which I highly doubt. And he certainly isn't being blocked.
White 1-4 with a homer two games in a row. I'm kind of disappointed that he's still flashing power...I would prefer to see him get multiple singles or doubles than dingers right now.
Now that GCL rosters are out, here are the players that were in Houstons system that have not been listed as released and are not on any roster: C Ihan Bernal IF Louis-Philippe Pelletier IF Abraham Toro-Hernandez RHP Forrest Whitley LHP Yhoan Acosta RHP Diogenes Almengo RHP Saul Martinez RHP Robert Kahana RHP Carlos Sanabria RHP Yonatan Quintin
And 11 draftees remain unsigned: IF Anthony DeFrancesco (has said he's college bound) IF Stijin Vandermeer OF Toby Handley OF Avery Tuck (unlikely to sign) C Nick Slaughter IF Elliot Barzilli IF Johnny Ruiz RHP Brian Howard RHP Darius Vines RHP Tyler Buffett RHP Carson LaRue
Here is a pretty thorough list of information that's in the Draft Pick Tracker thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=10559463&postcount=66
Random questions for tellitlikeitis (or anybody else for that matter) ... WRT the two Astros DSL teams, do the Astros try to split the talent equally between the two each year? Do the Astros try to keep individuals on the same team, year to year?
Derek Fisher is becoming a very legitimate prospect. Walk rate has jumped to over 18% this season and he is hitting for more power. Wish his athleticism would translate to the OF though.
Not that many of us religiously follow the DSL, but the Blue team is now 16-1 after they beat the Phillies 7-4.
i think it was a pretty good trade, even with giles' current unspectacular form. would be a slam dunk if giles was doing what was expected of him, but they probably unloaded appel at the last possible moment to get any real value back for him. it's fortunate that we traded appel over fisher and velasquez over feliz.
I thought it was the Phillies who pushed hard to get Appel included, and the Astros then decided to pull back Fisher.
