If you're meeting with business executives from Japan, but the meeting is here in the USA, should you give gifts to the Japanese execs? I see on the internet a lot of resources about doing business in Japan where it would obviously be expected. But, how does that change on our home turf?

Gifts are customary but they don't have to be expensive. Boxes, pens, bottle of alcohol but they should be personal. If you want to get in really well, take them drinking and a strip club.

I use to work with Japanese and they can be difficult. They love golfing so maybe take them to top golf and they do like to party and karaoke. Get them a bottle of whisky as a gift. They do like Latin and white women just a heads up if you guys go to the "club"
