Not sure if yall already posted this article here but, here is a recent Interview KD did w ESPN while in Austin TX. Hopefully he's referring to The Rockets. DEAR GOD PLEASE LET IT BE THE ROCKETS!

    KD:
"And I'm doing this in Oklahoma City," he said. "I don't care about commercials, I don't really care about this s---, I just want to hoop. But this comes with it and I got all this being in Oklahoma City. So all that stuff doesn't really matter to me. It's all about who I'm gonna play with, what type of people I'm going to be around every single day and I'll go from there."

He's a worse shooter than Beverley but he's younger. I'm in no sense saying he's the answer lol, should have explained it better. I think he'd be a nice get to help act as a stop gap until we address PG. He's a better playmaker than Bev too. Big heart.

Thanks, like i said yesterday makes sense to keep Beverley if you don't know 100% that you can sign/trade for a good pg.

according to insider we also called for Gay before the January deadline.

But from the looks of it doesn't seem that the talks with Houston have ever gone very far. With some other teams talks have gone much further for example Denver and New Orleans.

Btw Collison is also available as is Bellineli and Koufos.

[rQUOTEr]James Harden said he hasn't started the recruiting process yet for prospective free agents but is hopeful to land Kevin Durant. "I would love for him to play here in Houston," Harden said Thursday at his basketball camp. "But ultimately he makes the best decision for his career, whatever that is."[/rQUOTEr]

Did Harden consult Marc Stein since Stein "already knows" KD won't consider Houston?

I think Durant might just go to the Knicks, and it probably won't be such a bad decision for him at the time.

Does anyone else find this more than a little bit sad?

I agree. It seems as if Harden is already doubtful about the situation

We will know from how Morey starts FA. I don't think Durant is coming here but if we get another piece by trading Brewer, Ariza, and Beverly then it tells me Durant can talk Whiteside or someone else into joining us and there is something going on with Durant and Harden. We literally have horrible assets for anyone short of a Bledsoe and maybe a few other marginal guys. If we dump enough salary in lopsided trade you might get Rondo as FA with Durant and Whiteside. He might work in D'Antoni system but I don't think I like that fit all that much from chemistry standpoint. Basketball wise it fits. We need a team full of defenders that will not accept Harden's deficiencies and remove his excuses. This needs to be someone else's team where he fits his role. He needs to adjust so that the team works. A real offense that moves the ball that wears out defenses and drives FG% up because of fastbreak opps, open shots, good distribution to multiple playmakers, less ISO and reduced TOs.

It was a long shot to begin with.

Right. Doesn't sound like someone who has the "inner scoop" or "inner ear" of Durant. They were hanging out? Great, it meant nothing.

I think with KD you don't want to speak out of turn. Wouldn't be smart if beard was out there saying "oh yeah, we have good shot"
