Howard can not see the ball much in NY, but he could make money. Knicks are not going to be good with or without Howard.

please let it happen, this would screw GS up for years to come, as long as he signs a long term contract there, i would be satisfied

I hope Dwight goes to GS but I have a hard time thinking the Warriors would seriously think about bringing a guy on who has had so many team culture question marks in his last 3 stops. Knicks seem more likely than GS.

This sounds like a agent planting a story to drum up a market for his player...

Easier Eastern conference...Bright lights...Plays with "faded" stars. Porzingis may hate himself...

All jokes aside...I have come NOT to doubt Phil Jackson and his ability to win a title. People mocked him when they selected Kristaps...He ended up being pretty damn good. If Jackson can land Dwight as well... He would have put his franchise in a position to compete in a weak Eastern conference.

Dwight to New York makes so much more sense than to the Warriors.

You're right- it really would be incredible if Phil Jackson did that for the Knicks.

Best Knick will still be Porzingis.

I hate to say it, but Dwight makes a lot of sense to NY.

Porzingis and Melo can stretch the floor, giving dwight a lot of space to work.

And porzingis and Dwight can basically give ultimate rim protection.

Looking like Dwight to GSW not so likely. Dwight will relish working for Phil Jackson.

Dwight survived LA, I'm sure he'd be able to deal with NY

I'm shocked if Dwight ends up in NY but after the Rose trade, why not?

But they has just made a fantastic pick in Porzingis, why would you commit to three (melo, Dwight and rise) players barely hanging onto their stardom?

Did he? He was only there one year, was the biggest addition to a Lakers team that then massively underachieved. Got Mike Brown fired, clashed with Kobe, then skipped town. The only way he "survived" LA was by leaving.

Chris Mannix: (Knicks)They do not need Dwight Howard. God no. Under no circumstances. Dwight Howard is running away as far as humanly possibly from James Harden who wouldn't pass him the ball. He's not going to NY with two guys who won't pass him the ball. That's just not gonna happen in New York.

The market for Howard will be robust. Howard has to figure out, and it'll take a few days to a week that the max contract isn't there but once he realizes that, there will be half dozen to dozen teams interested. Charlotte(heard mixed things about their interest), Atlanta, Milwaukee, Portland, there will be a bunch of teams willing to give him $15M-$18M on a 4-year deal. He's not radioactive by any stretch. Expectations & criticisms on Dwight is unfair. No, he can't carry a team anymore but 2nd or 3rd option on a team with aspirations to win something, he can be extremely effective.

There's gotta be something in between for Dwight from the superstar he was to the afterthought he was last year. He attempted 8 shots a game. He should get 12-15 shots a game. If he can accept that, he can still be a terrific player.

    Dirk's next stop?

    Dallas, no question.

    Durant's next stop?

One year deal in OKC. Ties himself to Westbrook in some ways. He'll turn down the idea of Golden State & an aggressive offer from Boston.

    Love's next move?

    Somewhere other than Cleveland.

    LeBron?

Cleveland, at least for one more year. Summer of 2017 is interesting. Paul, Wade, maybe Carmelo.

    Biggest bust?

Dragan Bender. Last year, no one wanted Porzingis. Now everyone is looking for the next Porzinigs. Bender & Porzingis don't share a lot in common. ... Bender's good but the expectations are way too high. Not saying he's Jan Vesley who was a total disaster but if he goes top 5, I think he'll be disappointing.

I agree with this one, NY is not a place for Howard. $15-18M would be great for GS, or the rockets, but I do not think he likes new rockets coach and Harden. GS is a place for him if he wants to get a ring.
