I thought his balance wasnt great for a high level athlete...he also seems to waddle at the pelvis on his lateral movement...clips too short to be sure though. And we know about the apt..
Yall are a bunch of HATERS! This man is the ONLY HOPE for the Rickets, and is putting in WORK when the rest of the league is resting and digesting. God bless Harden!
Every video I see of him working gives me a tiny bit of hope, which is probably a bad thing overall. That said, he has a weird ass body.
It's his posture to be honest. If he fixed his anterior tilt he'd look normal. That's why it looks like he has a gut, if that makes sense.
I read this thread's title and was thinking the same thing. You're correct, however, no James Harden on that list...
Harden's body type is different from Lebron, Kobe, most other basketball players. He's just a little bigger, but if you doubt his strength or conditioning, i suggest you watch some highlights and check his minutes per game over the last two seasons. He may not be the most athletic, but his game is not predicated on athleticism, as much as is it on skill, which he has plenty of. That being said, if he lost five to ten pounds, or twenty, a la Kyle Lowry, then that would be great, but I don't think that would move the needle much on his overall impact.
Jokes aside, Harden looks pretty lean to me. Good job. Being snubbed all season long by the media works well as a motivation tool.
He does have a slight gut... Any unnecessary mass will hinder your game in today's league since the rules don't allow the same kind of contact the 80s to early 2000s did. This puts a strain on your joints, spine, etc since you can't cush the extra mass with more physical play.
