Ya but the contract doesn't necessarily mean the network will last that long though. But we've seen some pretty drastic cost cutting measures in the last 3 months alone and doesn't look like ESPN will be digging themselves out of the mud anytime soon.
A lot of folks think he can start day 1 in the slot which would be big. Read that Duverny already puts us at #2 in some team rankings, 1 or 2 more could solidify that.
Yep, Johnson and Burt have the outside spots all but locked up, but we really need a slot. Foreman can be moved all around now too, and it sure seemed like he and Buechele had a good rapport in the spring game.
Man I hope Strong can piece everything together. The level of talent at WR alone seems so much better than anything we've had since Cosby and Shipley.
Not to mention Warren and Foreman in the backfield. Teams will have to focus on those two, which should give some of these young WRs plenty of opportunities to shine, provided Shane can get the ball to them.
Hopefully a good running game will open up some room between the LB and DBs and make Shane's life a little easier. I'm concerned the kid is going to get hurt. I'm guessing he is spending his summer in the weight room.
I sincerely hope we have a good season this year. I'm not expecting 9-3, but at least winning 7-5. Strong has done well to recruit and he has that going for him, but it has to translate to the field at some point. Last season was such a mixed bag of highs and lows.
UT will still get paid, and i really don't know how much this will change the programming. Most of it is replays (and replays of replays) of stuff from many years ago. Outside of the very occasional baseball/softball/volleyball I saw very little actual live sports.
Greg Davis was predictable, but he was effective. Watson has never shown anything at any of his stops. His offense was average even with the an NFL quarterback.
He's played freshman when possible as soon as he got here. Hopefully that'll pay off this year with experienced Juniors and talented underclassman. However, there are a number of calls he has made on the field that I wasn't a fan of.
Duvernay is elite. Might be the best WR prospect the Horns have had in a long time. Hope they can get the QB situation figured out.
They should have an actually functionally talented DI OL for the first time in 3 years, and they have a couple of really good RBs. The defense will be quite good, but it all comes down to Buechele at QB. And maybe, ****ing maybe, they have a kicker who can hit a PAT
I might be in the minority but I'm really not expecting much. Praying I'm wrong but damn I'm tired being over hyped every year.
