Nothing an Alexandra Daddario reprise can't fix.

Please bring back Cary Fukunaga as well to piece the whole thing together.

I didn't watch the second season. But the first season was my favorite single season I think of any show ever on TV.

Don't. I wish they had stopped after season one. Season one was pretty much as good as it gets. The actors, the chemistry, the locations, the atmosphere. Everything just worked and flowed seamlessly. Fukunaga and Pizzolatto had a falling out after and it showed. The story for season two was all over the place with lots of bad dialogue. Also, poor acting outside of Colin Farrell.

These sum up the second season...

Hit the nail right there. His direction was beautiful, but Nic Piz got jealous and decided he was gonna do season 2 his way and we all saw how that turned out...First season was cinema on the tv set courtesy of Fukunuga's direction. Third season needs to have that kind of strong artistic director, otherwise it's going to turn out to be standard tv fare.

Lmao on those gifs. Agreed about season 1. I enjoyed watching season 2 despite how terrible parts of it were. It was still better than a lot of things on tv.

I like Ali a lot as an actor. Strong presence.

But, i'm going to make a prediction that this will have something to do with backwoods racist white trash who hate black people. Meh..

I think i'm the only who liked season 2...of course it wasn't season 1 level, but if season 1 didn't exist I think many more would have liked season 2 as a stand alone season.

Doubt it. That's been done to death and race is an easy out. House of Cards was severely weakened by the political climate because it's no longer as extreme as it seemed to be a few years ago.

It's a detective show with a surreal overtone. The writing was awful, the directing was disjointed and none of the actors were committed or convincing.

I thought Frank's death was kind of cool in season 2, but no argument from me that it wasn't inferior over all.
Agree w' @Caesar that more would have liked s2 if not for s1.

I thought season 2 had its moments, but it just lacked the magic (in every sense of the word) of the first. No question it was a big step down, but still enjoyed tuning it every week. Will watch Ali, as well.
