yep--great job Carlos. I'm not sure how I'd judge the decision based on the outcome. They got a potential DP, they got a force out, and only allowed 1 more run (when the starting situation was Altuve/Correa with man on 3rd, 1 out). Not the best possible, but not awful. Huge insurance run, btw--thanks Margo x2
Right. I feel they would have had a better chance getting out of the inning without anymore runs scoring by walking Correa because Rasmus has been failing a lot in similar situations, failing to even put balls in play. At least Correa came up with a productive out and important insurance run.
Right. The downside would have been, 2 shots at "single = 2 runs". IMO, they decided to go with probabilities in the range of 65% 1 run, 20% > 1 run, 15% 0 runs.. instead of 55% 1 run, 30% > 1 run, 15% 0 runs (if they walk the bases loaded for Rasmus) If that makes sense?
What's the math on the shift? It seems like it ****s us more often than not but I must be wrong on that.
Closing is a different animal. As dominant as Harris has been he has been a little more vulnerable after being put in closing role.
