All three of the UK teams made it through. That's pretty cool. Although I wish UEFA did away with this expanded tournament size. Too many slow and boring games since bottom feeders just turtle in hopes of making it as a third place team.
Ireland is still in the mix. But you are right about the rest. More matches mean more money though. Third place news: Slovakia and Northern Ireland officially made it. Slovakia will pretty sure meet Germany while Northern Ireland likely faces France.
It wasn't an important game but Slovakia beat Germany just before the tournament It was higher than you would think 3-1 - surely they can pose problems
That game was pure waterball if you actually watched it, no relevance in any way. Friendly games in general are pretty meaningless with our team, we are playing completely different in tournaments.
Don't tell the Irish that they're part of the United Kingdom. Depending on who you talk to, Northern Ireland isn't British either.
So Italy may very well be the only team that remained perfect in the group stage with 9 points (in the group of death mind you), and as a reward get to play Spain in the Round of 16. And if they happen to win (will be very difficult) would have to go through the "Path of Death" in order to reach the final. Whereas Belgium are practically locked in to reach the semi-final, and would only have to pass Croatia to get to the Final. Oh well, to be the best you got to beat the best. Bring it on! Forza Azzurri!!!!
Hahah it'll be low scoring for sure! Spain really screwed up by ending 2nd.. their potential next 3 games would be this. That is a really tough bracket. Italy>>Germany>>France
All the same for us living on the mainland But seriously, if Ireland advances too, the Scottish must feel terrible.
