He was talking about profiling for people who might be a terrorist...

Assuming what he means and claiming that is what he said are two different things.

Saying that we should not accept refugees from places that are know for producing terrorists is not racist.

The assumption by people that what he means applies to a certain group of people says a lot about the person making that assumption. It might also say a lot about a certain group when the first thing you think of when you say "terrorist" is one group. That group might have a history no?

    Agreed!

This is every bit as legitimate as the Reichstag fire back in '33!

Sorry, this spin makes it no less prejudiced than if he said "I live in an area where black people commit crimes, so its OK for the police to profile black people."

And stopping all refugees from a country entering the U.S. because a small percentage of people that may (or may not) be from that country are "terrorists" is also wrong, and goes against everything our country stands for. Never mind it isn't something we could be effectively enforce.

The difference is he is not asking to profile black people or muslims he is saying we need to think about profiling to identify terrorists and that is not racist.

As for your second comment that we can't effectively enforce who comes into our country, that is a BIG problem.

I don't like Trump but if all you do is read what the news says he says and not actually listen to what he said then you are just one of the sheep. He is a buffoon and says a lot of stupid crap but it isn't as bad as the media would like you to believe.

The trump train never fails to deliver. If it was his own money, whatever...but I'm sure his stupid donors are too dumb to put 2 and 2 together anyways...their presidential candidate profiting off of his own campaign.

Donald Trump's Campaign Paid Donald Trump's Companies More Than A Million Dollars In May

And what's more, his campaign is nearly broke. This is exactly how Trump ran his own public company.

Below just one story how Trump shifted one of his personal properties into his public company (along w/ well over $300mm of debt!!!). The public company eventually went bankrupt whereby he never had to pay back all that debt. It's borderline criminal.
    http://www.nytimes.com/1996/06/26/business/trump-s-castle-is-shifting-to-publicly-held-company.html

Incidentally, he also shifted his TRUMP plane and pilots to his public company so he didn't have to pay operating expenses. The year his company was delisted because he was losing $ hand over fist, he paid himself a $5mm salary.

Here's a better story outlining the rise and fall of his public company. This really needs to be highlighted by the Clinton campaign.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/busi...458918-2766-11e6-b989-4e5479715b54_story.html

And apparently, he's doing the same thing with his campaign. Leveraging all the available money to pay himself. Screw everybody else.

A million dollars isn't a lot of money for a business. It's hard to get excited about that.

Weirdly, he only raised $3MM in May. So he paid about a third of it to his companies - but that's likely because he just doesn't spend on media or just about anything else. Most campaigns pay a lot to staff and media, but he does neither, so there's not much else to spend on...

A million in a month is a lot for a campaign? I'm not sure if you guys expect him to fly commercial and not use his jet company that just happens to have in it's fleet a 757 with Trump painted on it. I think he paid 40 million to his campaign unlike Bernie who literally just set 200 million dollars of other peoples money on fire.

Sanders is berning our tax dollars right now by staying in the race and keeping his secret service detail also. Communism at it's finest.

It's an in-kind contributions. In case you are wondering how 'criminal' this is, take a look at Hillary doing exact same thing.
    http://freebeacon.com/politics/hillary-paid-herself-250000-from-campaign-funds/

Trump donated the use of his properties, equipment, services... etc. which FEC deems cannot be "free" so the campaign receives these as 'in-kind' contributions from Trump with a dollar value. For the balance sheet to be zeroed out Trump then pays the same value back to himself, but no money ever changes hand.

It's a non-story, another case of the media preying on the uninformed.

That was for the month of May, the total is much higher. Seven million I think, and at the point where his campaign is basically begging for donations...so its not like they are overflowing with money and spending it in places where it may be a coincidence.

    Interesting article, thanks for sharing.

Please note the "criminal" comment I made was regarding the failure of his public company where he shifted debt from his private interests into his public one which then went bankrupt. Trump was sued (again) by shareholders for this.
