Probably worth a flier, but I wouldn't expect too much from him. He might not even make the team.

I'm still holding out hope for Fairbairn over Novak, it would be a huge improvement at the position and it would be a guy that can lock down the spot for a decade as opposed to a 35 year old kicker with a weak leg.

Also I think Mumphery makes the team.

Going to be tough for Fairbairn to win the spot. Novak would have to implode and Fairnairn would have to be lights out during practice and the preseason.

Good point on Mumph. But I don't see how they can risk depth at other positions in order to carry six receivers. In order for Mumph to make it I think Strong has to continue to disappoint.

    Surprised she cut Mumph.

I think Strong is gone before him

Strong has a much higher ceiling than Mumphrey.

He has more physical gifts but Mumph has been more productive

TE-Yes, Anderson looks great in OTA’s and can make catches and get open, but we already have a receiving threat TE – Griffin. I know Griffin has improved his blocking some, but if CJ goes down, we don’t have a legitimate in-line TE on the roster. Not a good position to be in and blocking is where I believe Denham has the advantage over Anderson.

OL – That middle three is all new and Brown is coming off a pretty awful injury. We’ll have to wait see what these guy look like together.

DL: Pagan – isn’t he always hurt? He feels like another mid-round miss by RSmith. Dunn got some reps last year and he played admirably.

OLD: Carlos Thompson huh? He was the big guy with all the athleticism but just not a lot of skill yet? Has he made some strides? I think if Cliett shows to be the same player he was last year before tearing his knee, he makes the team.

S: Lonnie freaking Ballentine? Really, again!? We all love to hear about how great he looks in practice and the athleticism he has, but the dude is no built for the NFL. H

He will get inevitably get hurt. Also, didn’t we just read that Kurtis Drummond looks locked in?

I would just feel better having a kicker that can hit from 60 yards than I would a guy that is pushing it trying to hit from 50. I think if Fairbairn shows he can be reliable on extra points and short FG's, you give him the job no questions asked.

Does she think Rahim Moore is still currently on the roster?

Cliett is a cover ILB not a OLB. I would swap Cliett for Bullough.

I am guessing that the Texans will break camp with 6 not 5 WRs, so Mumphery (or maybe W.Williams) would make the cut on the strength of his Special Teams play.

I'm hoping Cliett, Fairburn, and Drummond make the team. Why did we get Allen if he wont even make the team?

Also, Strong was looking good, not sure what "production" people are talking about from Mumph, we got him for some special teams and he sucked.

On that note, if we take a 6th WR, I want it to be W.Williams... Short of injury, they will never see the field, so you want a special teams player. Can you imagine a KR duo of Ervin and Williams?

    Mumph - 14 Catches, 129 Yards, 0 TDs

    Strong - 14 Catches, 161 Yards, 3 TDS

Despite rarely playing, Strong was the more productive wr last season

I don't understand all the Strong hate.. He wasn't lights out last year but what WR not named Amari Cooper was? Maybe Tyler Lockett? But seriously, he was on par with the rest of them and was only getting better as the season went on. He is gonna break out this year and has some speed along with him.
