Yea this is crap lineup. Judging by last year, i would personally like to see the entire roster gone, but Dmo/Harden/Beverley/Capela .

Anyone else could be had in trades to improve the roster. Bev and Dmo are great off the bench. Maybe have back Beasley but on a small role

    ? / Bev
    Harden / ?
    ? / ?
    ? / Dmo
    ? / Capela

Thats 4 new starters, and 2 bench players who could score when Harden off the court. Its obvious this team needs a new identity. Its started with a new Coach now to retool the whole damn team.

Did anyone forget how bad last year team was?

If it wasnt for harden that team would had a record worse the Lakers.

Is Dudley the new "CLA joke" from the hangout?

You guys want a 30 year old 6'7 journeyman coming off of 8ppg, 3.5 rpg, and 2 assists to be our starting PF and go as far as to claim him as the 2nd best player next to Harden on our roster? There's more to the game than stats but he really doesn't bring any other intangibles that make w difference and we need players that can fill up the box since we only have 1 star/playmaker.

I'll take him as a 10th man on a team competing for a ring. I'm certainly not thinking about Jared Dudley right now when we have glaring weaknesses at 4 starting positions and Dudley solves none of them.

We flat out need another playmaker besides Harden, would have loved to see Lowry play here.

We need a second all star scoring option. We won't win anything until we get that, it should be priority #1.

    KD/Westbrook

    Curry/Klay

    James/Irving

3 best teams in the nba. 2 superstars who can take over on offense.

This off season is KD/DeRozan or bust if we have any championship hopes IMO.

My bad mate. For the record I dont want him as a starter, but off the bench he would agree. As a starter = hell no.

    100% This!

That's what made what Harden did last year so amazing.
I hope we can get him some legitimate help.

We would be dann lucky to sign DeRozan this off season bro, if he'd even consider us.

Beggers can't be choosers, turning down a young healthy all star when we desperately need one to pair with Harden is silly.

The only way "DeRozan = no" from us is if we sign Durant.

Thank you. It seem people dont research players anymore. They just join the bandwaggon. Dudley is a waste of money for this young team. He cant rebound, play defense , pass and is a slightly above average 3pt shooter. Yet GARM is the only place that thinks he could be the starting power foward on a team with NBA title hopes.

Thats a horrible potential starting lineup. The rockets would be the worst shooting and rebounding team in the divison and there is no defense.

Again, in no way shape or form do I want him starting. I've said multiple times if the price is right he would be a great addition. Everything you said is correct, but we need shooters and he is a good one.

I'm not saying I disagree with you but DeRozan is really just not that good. His scoring would be a welcomed addition but the shots he takes and his lack of handle and playmaking is not something I want to see locked into a max deal.

Just my two cents. There's always the chance im wrong and he proves me completely wrong but I just don't see it as ideal at all. He's going to the lakers anyway.

Deng is better, much better. Similar age but much more productive. And Deng should only be Plan C or D. Plan A is Durant, plan B is Batum. Dudley is a bench guy and if Houston brings him in it should be for bench money.

I doubt he goes to the Lakers, I was listening to his exit interviews and the man wants to win bad.

I don't get where you think he has a lack of ball handling or playmaking from, that's what DeRozan does. His handles are great, and his playmaking for his self and others is great.

must be 2 demar derozan's. derozan can't shoot from the perimeter, and his offense is based around taking contested 2s. he's not a great creator either. no thanks.

DeRozan is a great player, but I think he isn't a great fit with Harden and with D"Antoni.

He's a really really really good player.
But if he's your 1b option, when the Cavs have Kyrie, the Thunder - for now - have Westbrook, the Warriors have Klay or Green, the Clippers have Blake/CP3, the Spurs have Kwahi/Aldridge... well, that's going to be tough to win a ring unless you then get 2 more players of that caliber at different positions.

In a ring or bust mode, in today's NBA, where you LEGITMATELY have 4 team that could win a ring in almost any era historically - and that's excluding the Clippers - I think there is really only one offseason scenario which makes the Rockets automatically that 5th team.

    That's
    KD
    Whiteside

Absolutely it's ludicrous to think that's possible and makes a lot of sense in this thread and elsewhere to think of other options.

But, relative to Derozan, I am fine if some people, and Morey himself, says pass. Great great player, but not good enough.

Conley is probably the best fit considering the realistic options that are out there. Conley should be the #1 free agency priority if it becomes clear that Durant is unattainable. And i'm hopeful that guys like Harden and Beasley, who are close with Durant, will be in direct contact with our MGMT, as not to encourage them to waste time if it becomes clear that Durant isn't attainable, and lose out on guys like Conley.

I, for example, wish we had gone full out for Lowry as our top target rather than focusing on people like Melo; who was likely never coming here anyway, and wasn't as good of a fit as Lowery would have been.

    Conley would be great here.

Disagree about Melo. Much better fit as a stretch smallball four than a high usage PG.
