You are absolutely correct. If the Rockets go after him hard at the beginning of Free Agency then my only take would be that Harden told them we are in play. It has been reported that he indicated to Harden that we weren't on his list, so it should be interesting to see how Morey and company respond.
Where did you see that KD told harden that the rockets weren't in play? Those stein reports don't ever mention anything is coming from KD, much less Thant KD told Harden.
Also, assuming that KD is actually considering coming to Houston, one of the most attractive things we have to offer is the ability to pair him up with James Harden as well as an additional max player. If that's the case, I have no doubt that KD & JH have something in mind in terms of recruiting for that 3rd max player and its in everyone's best interests for it to appear like there's no real chance so it doesn't look like collusion.
No, that hasn't been reported. The ONLY thing suggesting that KD isn't considering Houston is the late night drunk tweet of a Mavs homer. No legitimate source has said this.
I'm telling you guys right now. KD and Harden as a pair can win a chip. No doubt in my mind. KD/JH vs LBJ/KI 2017? I hope that would be the most epic finals since 2016 lol And horford would be perfect for that tandem also he could play the love role but be better because he better at defesne. Add in Capela making a triston thompson type impact and we can actually replicate what the cavs have. I like are chances guys on getting Durant eveb more after this game. KD gotta see that he needs to play with a superstar who can shoot and harden is the vastmy better scorer shooter to Russ.
I can see kd looking at the Warriors even more now that Barnes played his way out of a max contract. Kd would be the the icing on the cake for that team and most likely the player that would help over power the cavs year in and year out because no one is leaving the east besides the cavs in the coming years and if they begin to gel or even trade love they should be east champs for the forseeable future.
Yeah, i don't see him going to the Warriors even if the lost the finals...i think the Warriors will give a look to Batum though, and this can be a great fit for them, sure an upgrade to Barnes.
KD to Houston odds got even bigger now that Cavs showed ISO ball CAN beat team ball. KD will ask himself, "If LeBron and Kyrie could do it why couldn't me and Russ?" This will slowly pick at his brain and he will come to realize if not KD/Russ.. how about KD/Harden KD TO HOUSTON CONFIRMED 100% YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST

If its truly a "basketball decision" then it seems very obvious that OKC is his best chance for success. He won't find a better running mate than Westbrook that he knows works on and off the court. He's got a supporting cast that keeps on getting better. The emergence of Adams and Roberson this past playoff series is going to be huge next year. That team really should have made the finals. They are just as talented as GSW, and likely Cleveland. I just don't see a better basketball situation than staying in OKC. I'd be shocked if they didn't get to the finals once or twice more in the next 5 years if they stay together and continue to make improvements.
KD: "it's a little bit more complicated now" Translation: I was ready to leave, but OKC did well so I am re-considering. We'll see...
Harden has shown he can be Lebron at times. Obviously the chase down blocks are not in the rep. We need another great scorer. Rest of the team you need to fill with hard working players who can hit open shots and play tough defense. Basically get rid of everyone.
If it's truly a basketball decision, that pretty much takes OKC out of it. There are tons of better situations he could go to than staying in the sticks with only Westbrook. He knows how that story ends, he's seen it year after year. We'll see if it's a basketball decision based on him being "the guy" or just a basketball decision based on the best possible team.....either way, it looks increasingly unlikely that he'll stay in OKC.
No argument. LeBron went full stud on the Warriors. Just an unbelievable performance. Granted, the Warriors got a case of the God-I'm-tired shanks (that's what you get for chasing the record, guys), but the Cavs earned the trophy.
