Hate to say it but rangers are having one hell of a season. I was thinking by now they would fizzle. But they keep on winning. Only way astros will win devision is if we can somehow take both the remaining series
Hinch was told before the game that Harris wasn't available today So cuss out the medical staff You sound pretty angry though so I'm sure nothing matters except being mad We won today
Ok then thanks for informing me Personally I'll take a guy with a 2.57 era as my Ace. Which is what I said, if he gives us 7 innings and 2 runs consistently. But hey, if that is no ace then that is no ace Only thing is, you are referring to How Keuchel has pitched this year in your rant quoting my post that we need what he gave us today Reading what you are replying to would help bruh
I don't think he's replying to your post, he's got some kind of stream of consciousness Q&A thing going on with himself. Lol. Keuchel today was nothing to complain about. This same game last year would have gotten a "another great outing from Dallas" comment. I'm not sure what he's ranting about.
Yea Dallas was great today, he had already deemed him a "5 inning pitcher" before he finished with a dominating 7th He is either a troll which is my first guess Or a guy who has some serious issues to deal with
Just got home from game. Great to see Springer with the big hit and Castro leg it in from second. Ironic we had a fast runner on third but could not score, and a slow runner who scores from second. A game of ups and downs, but alls well that ends well. Great talk by Rasmus, and good concert afterwards. BTW, I have a stammer.
My friend, last year K does not give a 2 run lead, really, did you follow the team last year??? Last year had a 2.48 ERA, so even better than today's numbers. You know how many games he won with our team scoring less than 2 runs? My point is, IF we are going to catch the Rangers, we need K to win the games 2 to 1 and 1 to 0. Today, he gave the lead. That is the TRUTH. Did he pitch good? Yes, very good, but for us to catch the Rangers, we need K to pitch even better, and be able to win the 2 to 1 games instead of losing them. That is what a number 1 starter does. Yes, guys like Greinke WHO DID IT IN HOUSTON THIS YEAR. Like Hamels who did it yesterday. But ok, if you are confortable with your number 1 starter to give a 2 run lead in 5 innings, fine. Last year McCullers or K got a 2 run lead in the first, and it was GAME OVER. Not this year. Sorry, but thats the truth.
YOU are the only one talking about Keuchel giving up 2 runs in 5 innings dumb a$$ you are not capable of having a discussion about the team, you just want to spew your word vomit enough to say something you can come back later and say "I was right" Quit trying to say that other people are saying **** we aren't Reply to what we SAY or just post your fu$king trash without quoting us And what ever happened to you blocking your beloved pest???
I honestly have no idea what you're talking about man. The logic is absurd. Keuchel gave up 2 runs over 7 innings, he wasn't the problem today.
IF we catch the Rangers? Lets put that pipe dream to rest already, we proved last week that's not possible. Rangers are 19 games over .500, on pace to win over 100 games. Even if they slip up, that looks like an easy 92+ win team. Astros need to go 60-33 to beat that mark, that's .645 baseball (I know they've played .667 the last 24 going 16-8, but lets see what can be sustained) I do think 85 wins can get a WC spot though, that's much more doable.
Keuchel pitched well.. too bad he didn't get the W. Giles He probably threw one too many sliders vs Duvall, but his track record in HOU gives little benefit of the doubt. His '16 performance has been horrible. Hopefully Gomez continues his surge, so that trade finishes somewhat worth it. We'll see if Fiers can finally pitch b2b good games this season.
The player that surprised me yesterday was Worth. Seemed to make good contact, even his outs were well-hit. I like Valbuena at third defensively but getting another solid bat into this lineup is important.
Agreed... he pitched a solid seven innings. Take that from out starters every time. Giles seems to be way more confident with the slider than his fastball. Needs to show the fastball more often, if only to set up the slider.
I never noticed. And yeah I commented yesterday on Giles having great stuff but he just hasn't learned when and where to throw it, 10 secs later we're tied. This could be a decent team if they just had some help from the coaching staff. This has to be one of the worst in the league.
Ridiculous hyperbole. Despite pretty overwhelming evidence that multiple pitchers are more successful with the Astros than with their prior teams (Harris, Sipp, McHugh) or had significant development under the current regime (Keuchel, Feliz), you choose to lambast the pitching coaches over one guy? That's just silly. All I can say is that only special teams have all cylinders firing and the Astros just aren't a special team this year.
I wouldn't give Strom too much credit way too much inconsistencies besides I said coaching "staff", he's probably the best we have as far as that goes. So not special means what? They don't have the talent? Should they not have improved over last year? What would you say the problem is?
