Stephen Wrenn hit a leadoff bomb in his first professional AB.

I'm interested in following this kid, he broke most of his face before this season so I'm thinking he's back where he should be by now.

Taylor Jones' first home run as a pro was a grand slam. He drove in 5 for Tri-City.

In addition to his first pro homer, Stephen Wrenn scored 3 more times in the ValleyCats' 13-1 win over Connecticut.

I'm excited about him. 18 years old and excelling in full season ball is big time.

Not overly young for a "prospect" at AAA. The average age at AAA isn't a whole lot different from the average age at the major league level. So many teams have guys at AAA hanging around hoping for another shot. For the team it gives them injury insurance, or in the case of a guy like Danny Worth crappy play insurance. With the average AA prospect around 23 years old, I would guess true prospects at AAA probably average around 24, just a guess

Musgrove will be fine, a guy who relies on super control like he does will have some games where he gets hit around some, but in the long term he is likely to end up being a very reliable 4th starter type, which has a ton of value

Age relative to league is one of the leading predictors of prospect success. Here are the youngest prospects on each team:

    AAA: Reed, Moran, Musgrove, Gustave
    AA: Bregman, Fisher, Paulino, Martes
    A+: Laureano, Martin, Armenteros, Dykxhoorn
A: Tucker, Trompiz, Duarte, Abreu, Perez
    A(SS): Cameron, Sandoval

Laureano is a guy I'm starting to pay more attention to. Good defender, interesting offensive profile.

My friend, my question is because i have NOT seen him pitch, and many here are well knowledgeable with minor leaguers, NOW, without WATCHING HIM, i expect him to improve because he is NOT walking batters and he is young.

If you know, can you tell us????? Thanks in advance
