I would be reluctant to do those type of interviews if I were him. That's the only time I see him have a major issue is when he's still amped up from the game.

yup, and they don't. it's nobody's business but their own. the actual act of being unable to get your words out still has to be frustrating as hell for the person though.

    You are probably right

But baseball is a funny game. Things can turn quickly. Last year as late as the end of July we were 58-46 and the Rangers were 7 back

The other two major sports are a lot easier to predict than baseball, you just never know

I'll say this, if Keuchel goes back to giving us what he did today on a regular basis, we will be right there in the end

One of the great things about him is that he doesn't shy away from it at all

He knows he struggles in those situations, but he handles himself well and doesn't back down because of it

Heck of a guy to have as one of the faces of our organization

No, we need more than what he gave us today. If we are leading by 1, he can't lose the lead in the 5th, he has to become a number 1 pitcher just like Hamels is with Rangers.
yesterday, pitching in St. Louis, he won a 1 to 0 game, he did not allowed a run.

For this team to catch the Rangers, they are going to need much better pitching from McCullers and K, both need to become NUMBER 1 AND 1A pitchers, Fister continue to pitch the way he is, McHugh and Fiers to be more consistent.

I still think we can take a spot in the WC, but i don't believe we can catch the Rangers with our rotation and with Hinch.

Looks like Mattingly is a good manager after all, Marlins have a 36 and 32 record.
Also, it looks like Bonds is a good hitting coach, all of them are hitting better this year with the exception of Stanton.

If the Marlins are able to do it, why can't we improve our hitting???? Why does that team has a better record than us?

if you could have hinch fired right now, but under the condition that he's replaced by mattingly, and mattingly is irremovable for a minimum of 3 seasons, would you make that deal?

2 runs in 7 innings would be a 2.57 era

If that isn't an ace then I'm not sure where our expectations are

What is Hamels era? Better than that?

    yesssssssss
Mattingly won over 90 games for 3 years in a row and has the Marlins playing great baseball.

Look at Dodgers with Roberts, not doing as good, with more or less the same team.

I think Mattingly as a manager has a .550 winning percentage and a team that was very bad last year with a .522 winning record.

I do believe Mattingly is a good manager, and you have to be very confident to have a batting coach like Bonds in your team.

A number 1 pitcher will win you the 2 to 1 and 1 to 0 games, that is the difference from a number 1 pitcher and a number 2 pitcher.

Thats the difference between Greinke, Hamels, Kershaw, Fernandez, etc., those guys you need to get them early, if not, and if you give them a lead, they will win the game for you.

How many times have we give a lead to K and lose? He is giving runs in the middle of the game and late, and not winning the games that he won last year.

If we want to catch the Rangers we need K to be better than today. Yes, he did very good today, but against a weak hitting ball club, he could not hold a 2 run lead from the first inning on. He gave the lead in the 5th. Did he pitched good? Yes, very good, but we need even more IF we are going to catch the Rangers. Can you trust on K winning a 1 to 0 game this year? or a 2 to 1 game??????
Last year i would say, yes, this year i don't trust him in those games.

went to the game. god i hate this idiot hinch.

first off, why the hell harris wasnt in? i know he pitched last night but we had an off night on thursday. he should still be good to go.

2nd, why the hell would u wait till gattis goes to 3b to pinch run for kemp? he should have pinch ran for him when gattis got the hit.

glad we got the walk off win but hinch is still terrible.

I feel bad for the guy. He should be able to say no to those post-gamers if he wants.
