T-Mac was mentally soft when it mattered most.

Harden is a more curious case, as there are many examples of him showing up in big playoff games but the others where he disappears completely. As the #1 option, Harden has this as his resume:

    1) Loss to OKC in Rd 1 (Not Favored)
    2) Loss to Portland in Rd 1 (Favored)
    3) Beat Dallas in Rd 1 (Favored)
    4) Beat Clippers in Rd 1 (Favored)
    a) Not present during comeback that saved the season in Game 6
    b) Had to come back from down 3-1
    c) Goes 31-7-8 in Game 7, essentially clinching the series.
    5) Lost to GSW in WCF (Not favored)
    a) Had a great chance to extend this series, lost games 1 and 2 in GSW by a combined 5 pts
    b) Notable players from Rockets out/injured. GSW fully healthy.
    6) Lost to GSW in Round 1 (No chance, entire team checked out)

If Harden gets in shape and is engaged offensively and defensively the entire game then I believe we can get back the WCF. That's why Dantoni is here, so we can scheme in a way that Harden doesn't have to create everything. This comparison is still a little bit asinine in my opinion, Tracy was a tremendous athlete but wasn't the offensive swiss army knife that Harden is. T-Mac could just out-athlete anyone when he wanted to. James doesn't have that luxury.

Exactly, if Harden ever leaves and he does not get any better or lead us anywhere in the next few years, he will be talked about in the same light of being a loser. But because hes here right now, tiny will grab onto anything to help his garabage debate.

I wonder how many times you ignore questions that you can't answer.

    Incoming humor reply....

You way overestimate someone like D'Antoni in that regard.

The only way he has success, if the Rockets get another true superstar and better role players.

Harden is better since he lead his team past the first round at least with some dignity left in the tank. Now it is time to waste two years before possibly switching teams.

I still pick TMac. He can take down Skip’s Spurs.

Who can score a 60 point triple double? In all seriousness just stats. Neither is an alpha, content being highest paid and having big games/seasons but never getting over the hump. James has time on his side and superior teammates around him so he could change the outcome of this conversation, but not as of yet. CP3 is probably the closest thing to a 'leader' this team has.

What more do you want harden to do? game 1 carried us single handedly. Game 4 come out and smoked them with a monster second half and saves our asses. last night he came out and won it again with a huge third quarter. he pretty much was the biggest reason why got the seperation on the scoreboard to win. Harden is playing like a leader and alpha.Pretty much owned the key moments and outplayed jimmy butler and wiggins. Those two could not even come close defending him in critical stretches.

Mcgrady fans like to make up scenarios on how T-Mac could have passed the first round

    With any team

    But Harden is a MVP
He has no issues passing the first round
