Thanks, King Junior. Accepting the tweet for the moment, does it alter reality how some fit in beautifully here, ugily there? Just curious - - Ryan the And would be: (a) great here under MDA (b) failure here under MDA Steve the Know Vac (a) great here under MDA (b) failure here under MDA (either way for @$12-15 mil less?)
he's had an injury history and since the 10-11 season he just barely palyed two straight seasons w/o missing a lotta time. i dont mind him for 15-20m but he's gonna get much better offers
He was out only two times in his nine years as a pro for the same pectoral injury (right and left) dude, he has no injury history at all. Love has more injury history than him, he never played an entire season in eight years...
Is this really the kind of guy we need around here? Stealing the hearts of our wives, girlfriends, daughters.....
Kevin Love is horrid defensively and doesn't rebound like he use to - definitely not in the playoffs. He's a bit soft.
two of those plus a 60 game season. he's never gone 3 straight years healthy. he's on the decline and playing center for the hawks only makes it worse. like i said for 15-20m i'll take the risk but not for the new cba max. id rather not take the risk though. there's better max contract options out there other than horford and conley. maybe one or two better options actually but still would contribute enough so thats its worth it.
The free agency tiers are like this for me 1. Durant 1b DeRozan 2. Whiteside 3. Conley, Howard, Horford To survive we have to sign one of them, to thrive we need two.
Yes. DeRozan, the 26 year old multi time all star in his prime is the second best player available in free agency this year and it's not even close. Here is my post explaining why I think he would be a great addition to our roster. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=10530715&postcount=3988
DeDe stays in Raptorville - - or - - DeDe goes home to the Pacific Lakers C'est finis. And fine with me.
Very nicely illustrates the overlay/value on Kevin... Obviously, he's just in the wrong place. When he steps on the court after being dealt, folks who doubt now will realize KLove can still hoop. And there's that sweet contract. With the cap moving up, Love will be a bargain...sort of like James. Speaking of James, man...would they mesh great together in Les's playpen ! Add some Mike Conley, and you would win a ton of games...MDA would have us putting up 120 a night...Of course, we'd give up a ton too.
What? He played 4 straights season without major injuries, in last 5 he was out only two times because of a torn pectoral...not for a microfracture in his knee. And lol at decline, you're saying this based on what exactly? Because he grabs two less rebounds per game since he plays more on the perimeter and less minutes due to how coach Bud rotate players in a Spurs way? Anyway give Horford over Love any day, he can do everything Love does and he can do well everything Love is not able to do. You will never see Horford benched cause he get abused defensively or cause he cannot adapt his game to his teammates or his opponents, only this should be a reason to pick him over Love any day.
I wonder how we'll eventually do against the Warriors, the Spurs or the Thunder going small...we bench Love like the Cavs or we play him at the 5 giving up two points per possession? Again, i'm not totally against bring him here if possible, it's always more talent or one good asset to eventually trade later, but i really don't like this idea that he's playing bad just cause he doesn't fit with Lebron, at all...if he can't play in small ball lineups it's a huge black hole in today's game.
The one thing I notice watching these Finals in particular is how much mental confidence comes into play. Certainly, Kevin doesn't play defense as well as Tristan, or Lebron, both of whom are more willing to use their size and bulk. But even with that, its amazing the number of times Love will get switched onto Curry or Thompson, and otherwise play VERY VERY similar defense as other bigs, and they just feel more comfortable with him guarding them, and the ball seems to go in. He's not as bad defensively as it seems, but he's just bad enough that a great team has confidence when they see him and can just score easier. Conversely, it's the same thing with Steph. The Cavs are just going at him, because they know he can't guard as well. SO even those possessions where he is guarding nicely, it doesn't matter, because the offensive player is just confident. In any case, no desire to add Love at this point... UNLESS its super cheap. Ariza for Love is close to the extent of what I'd offer, and even then I can certainly make arguments for why I'd rather have Ariza at this point, given his defensive potential.
I think we would need to play him at the 4 and let whoever it is attempt to adjust. I'm sorry, but IMO Lebron's game really DOES infringe on Love's and as a result, he's reduced to a role player there. Take him away and he's what he's always been at the 4 ..a huge mismatch. Love has that great inside/out game. Posting up and slamming the boards...
