Yep, when you start to look at numbers with say 300+ at bats, those numbers are much more likely to tell a true story than anything less than that, especially anything under 100 at bats....Gomez approach last night was another step in the right direction in my opinion
Mengden in the bigs. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Multiple team sources say Daniel Mengden will start for the A's in Cincinnati tomorrow.</p>— Jane Lee (@JaneMLB) <a href="https://twitter.com/JaneMLB/status/741343649632374784">June 10, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Battle of ex-Astros today. bobrek faints. Daniel Mengden, 5 2/3 innings, 6 hits, 2 ER, 4 BB, 5 SO Dan Straily, 7 innings, 5 hits, 1 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO
Apparently, Kratz's MLB career wasn't over. Pirates recently signed him and he's appeared in 2 games, including today's. Salami perhaps?
Kratz is an OK backup catcher, but we did not needed him with Gattis on the roster. Now, i did not like the trade involving Straily and Kratz.
Hader promoted to AAA, pitching today. Josh Hader, lhp, Brewers. A few days after being named a Southern League all-star, Hader found out he won’t make it. Still, he was probably thrilled with the reason why. Hader, part of what can be called a haul the Brewers got for Carlos Gomez and Mike Fiers, was promoted to Triple-A Colorado Springs and will make his debut Sunday. Hader, who can sit mid-90s with his fastball and gives batters a funky look with his low slot from the left side, led the SL with an 0.95 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. He struck out 73 and walked 19 in 57 innings at Double-A Biloxi. Read more at http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/baseball-america-prospect-report-2/#1wy4wVEp7rUJqpwZ.99
Pshewww! Straily doesn't even make it out of the 5th against the worst team in the entire league. 4.1 IP, 6 ER, 7 H, 3 BB, 5 SO This should buy us about a week's worth of peace, right?
The baseball gods really smiled upon the Astros. Can you imagine what would have happened if he was scheduled to pitch (and pitched well) this weekend?
Mengden is awesome to watch with that funky delivery & old school stache. He's been dominant thru every level this year. Good find by Luhnow in the 4th, nonetheless
LOL I came to post Straily's line but I knew ole bobrek would beat me to the thread. Dan Straily Only Hater. DSOH
third time through the order and the rangers figured him out. seemed to be getting winded as well. also, colby lewis is perfect through 6. what kind of PEDs is this guy on? what a resurgent year.
