    Dont agree with this. Tmac and alot of nba players did this. It just wasnt open like twitter makes it these days.
    Harden lives an open life. And ive only heard of these club incidents a few times.

    Really? I thought 20 playoff games and no playoff series win was a true measure of a superstar.

    Tmac was a beast when healthy here. He may of had a bad exit out out of Houston, but that doesn't make his tenure here a failure. The guy put up some very impressive seasons here. He was a overall better floor leader than Harden at this point

    Beast are usually healthy creatures.

    you know that story beauty and the beast? beast wouldn't be able to dance on the sidelines. she'd dump him for that prince and the story would be called cinderella

    Well said. Also, at 26 you could make the argument that Harden hasnt entered his prime yet.

    Fact:
    T-mac lead the team at times during the regular season, Harden lead the team at times during the regular season and also had a part in getting us to the WCF. Still, both are not natural leaders. To me this are the only things we can conclude so far.

    Opinion:
    I tend to think Harden is doing a better job, since 14-15 was just incredible with so many injuries. T-Mac always blamed injuries and the roster for his shortcoming and with Yao out, rarely did he lead the way Harden did in 14-15.

    I'm inclined to say McGrady was better than Harden is now. It's all perception though right? McGrady showed emotion during big wins or big losses. Harden is "too cool" to show emotion outside of going super Saiyan if he hits a big three.

    With that said, I still have hope for Harden. His offensive talents are undeniable. He doesn't seem to want to learn to work without the ball though. This bugs me.

    This next season is key to what kind of player he will be I think. Is he more like Harden of two seasons ago? I guy driven to lead his team on both ends of the court? Or do we get the guy who won Shaqtin' a Fool MVP?

    This thread needs a poll, otherwise it's just people trading jabs.

    Neither player exhibits any traditional leadership qualities at all... so if we go to secondary characteristics like versatility and ability to carry a team against tough opponents, I have to go with Tmac.

    I honestly don't think there has been a superstar who has been more worthless than T-Mac. He has never lead ANY team past the first round. At least Harden dragged us into the playoffs and helped get us to the WCF.

    James Harden || Tracy McGrady
    Houston playoff averages

    Minutes: 39.3 || 41.4
    Points 26.9 || 27.7
    FG% 41.3 || 42.6
    3P 2.5 || 1.6
    Free Throws 8.8/10 || 5.9/8.1
    Rebounds 5.6 || 7.1
    Assists 6.7 || 7.0
    Steals 1.9 || 1.6
    Blocks 0.4 || 1.1
    Turnovers 4.4 || 3.3

    So - based on box score stats alone, they're pretty close.
    In the playoffs so far, Harden gives you 1 less point on similar FG% with 3 more free throws made, 1.5 less rebounds, minimal blocks, and an extra turnover, in 2 less minutes.

    But based on the quality of the teams around them, I'd have to say TMac's stats are more impressive. Workhorse status.

    What's funny is in "Change Of Fortune" thread, everyone is saying Olajuwon is the GOAT regardless of rings or team playoff records.

    Meanwhile, TMac is a scrub for bad team records in the playoffs.

    Interesting. This logic is very malleable.

    Does that apply to Yao? Because Yao was a beast too and just as injured
