I agree with you it is rhetorically biased and a bit self-centered for journalists to use. But, it doesn't really bother me. But, we've always known he was stupid and intolerant and that it was inevitable he'd hang himself (politically) if just given enough rope. So no, I don't think he ever had it. If they switched out his brain for the brain of an average Republican presidential candidate after Cruz and Kasich dropped out, he'd have a chance, but even then there would be a lot of damage to repair to win in the general.

The Trump threat is over. It's disappointing that it took casual racism against a judge for some people to care. Selfish people who supported him until they found themselves in his crosshairs. The more concerning issue now is what the Trump supporters do from here on. Do they become more proactive? I hope he doesn't become inspiration for a hate group membership drive.

I wouldn't call it over. I still think Clinton will win, but I expect Trump's numbers will recover. And then sink again when he does some other dumb thing. And then recover again. And so on until we vote. I don't really get the mentality, but voters are a bunch of flip-floppers.
New information out that indicates the Foundation has clearly violated the law and an investigation should be opened. The Trump Foundation that is. Trump accused of using charity as slush fund Summation: It is illegal to use a non-profit to advance a political agenda. Trump has used the Trump foundation to do just that. The donations he has made to veterans organizations have come with the requirement that they appear at his campaign rallies to accept the checks, effectively "endorsing" him. Additionally, the donation made to Pam Bondi's campaign was made from the Trump Foundation which was blatantly illegal as the non-profit would be prohibited from making a campaign donation.
