    They aren't anymore.

To bad. I always like the hard working underdog.

Next last minute letdown. But Wales was way too passive.

A fit Sturridge is miles better than Kane. There. I said it. This is coming from a United fan too.

Am I the only person who likes Rooney in a midfield role? Sure he can't tackle, but his passing and setting the tempo has been pretty good. Learning a lot from Scholes.

England still looked terrible and the strategy is letting down the talent. By that I mean there is no real strategy. They can't be a threat with Hodgeson managing. They got a goal from a bad second by an otherwise solid defender for the Vardy goal and a couple of seconds of individual talent from Sturridge to pull out a last minute win against a way overmatched Wales.

Sturridge, when healthy, is definitely better than Kane but they could also play together with Kane in the middle and Sturridge outside.

Wales was far too content with a point there, and it cost them. They were pretty much defending at the 18 the entire second half. There were times when they weren't even engaging the English before 30 yards. They'll still most likely go through, but the Welsh need to go back on the offensive if they want to go deep in the tournament.

Hahaha, the Fußballgott will reclaim his spot next year and fire us to glory! Really excited to see him play again next season!

German game really end to end at this point.

Hummels doesn't look like he's match fit.

Our defense actually looks way better, but Löw desperately needs to change his offensive personnel. The combination of Özil and Götze is going nowhere. Not happy with Draxler either.

Damn, this Germany-Poland game is boring as hell so far. I actually got some work done while it was on!

Here we are, tournament's first 0-0. Both teams didn't really go for the win, still disappointed with our offense. I guess the other day Löw was searching for his balls to take off Özil.

I do. He's done a fine job as center mid. He is showing his field vision is very good coupled with his ability to deliver pinpoint passes. However I think he could be a bit more aggressive in certain situations and not pass quite so much.

Draxler has no business being in there. Schürrle at least brings a bit more verticality to the game. It's a real handicap that Hoewedes is basically a total loss on offense (I still think we have no better option at this point). Gomez is still like Flipper.

I don't see us winning this.

    Try something different next time.

Start Schweinsteiger against Northern Ireland, take out Draxler. Test Sané. Change it up a bit.

Agree on most parts. But: Gomez has never been a joker. Either start him and focus your offense around him or leave him out. And: The second game has rarely been our's the last tournaments. Drew Ghana two years ago, lost to Serbia six years ago, lost to Croatia eight years ago. Still made it at least to the semis. Let's stay positive, I'm sure we will beat Northern Ireland and win the group :)

I love Rooney in the Paul Scholes or Steven Gerrard role, his IQ is great, and he fits well as an AM.

Yeah and he is a better tackler although that's not saying much. Scholes for all his gifts was one of the worst tacklers in the Premier League. He used to make rash challenge one after the other.
