I'm old enough to remember how Germany made it to the world cup finals in 1982 and 1986. We didn't set the world on fire in the early matches either. These tournaments are rarely won by teams which peak in the first games. France has a real wealth of talent on that team. To think that they could in theory have Ribery and Benzema on top of that, they have a lot of really, really good players...

Woah, now I appreciate the CRonaldo defense because I remain a fan and have to defend him against those that criticize everything he does but better person than Messi? I dunno man. CRonaldo is great off the pitch but he is more outgoing than Messi. Messi seems to keep stuff quiet off the pitch and I've never heard of him being a douche to fans but I may have missed something I guess. I think both Messi and CRonaldo are pretty good with fans off the pitch from what I've seen and heard...but I may be wrong lol.
