Why? Flipping him for something of value could actually help this team win now, and in the future.

Its probably always been on the radar... but he had zero value to the point that the team would have actually considered DFA'ing him.

Or he goes on a tear and probably helps this team more than any flipping product... hence why I said he'd also be giddy about the compensation draft pick when Gomez leaves as a free agent.

He's actually the radio PBP guy... so not so new for guys who catch that end of the broadcast.

He's actually calling the game pretty similarly to the radio calls... just filling in the normal silence with some side-talk with Blum.

Living in Georgia I never got to hear him call on the radio, but he just doesn't try to do too much. Reminds me a 'bit of Brownie. Says what needs to be said, but doesn't try to over analyze every... Single... Play.

Huge pair of wins. Pretty much erased the Rangers and Rays damage.

That springer dinger was the biggest hit of the year so far.

Let's sweep the Reds and get back to .500.

So this is how that team from arlington feels when they sweep a rival.

Does anybody honestly still miss the NL?

Odd time to ask that question after a 2 game road sweep of a former NL rival. Especially considering they played 'clean' and got a nice offensive contribution from the pitcher yesterday.

4-5 road trip against 2 really good teams and 1 solid team is a big win for this team. Now let's get back to .500 and start making our run.

He also pitched well enough to win and well past the 5th or 6th inning this time. The law of averages says he doesnt bring in many rbis if we were still in the NL, given the exact same runners on base situation.

So Im assuming, you still have a soft spot for the NL...

Of course I have a soft spot, but I've accepted the AL. I still prefer the NL rules and style of play.

At this point, I'd rather not see Kuechel on the mound. He needs to step away and clear his mind.
