LOL I was just thinking, if there was anyone on this team to swing at a 3-0 count with as wild as he's looked, with the bases loaded it would be Gomez. Worked out though! That's all I care about.
Are the glasses making this much of a difference with Gomez??? If so he must have been blind as a bat before.
Gotta say Gomez with glasses is a lot less hateable. Equipment manager should go ahead and glue those bad boys on Gomez for the rest of the season

Why do people keep saying this? I doubt there are many or any people that "hate" Gomez. We all want him to succeed, but when you're batting .180 for the season like he was, you're going to get frustrated as a fan. That doesn't make you a "hater".
God, this PBP is so damn enjoyable.... but something tells me Ashby is out with more than just laryngitis (hopefully nothing serious).
