    This is silly.....

You build a team around Harden

You add players like Klay to compliment Harden.

Klay hasn't demonstrated he can put a team on his back for an entire season.

I don't think it's necessary to insult people like that because they have a different opinion. I can see why people think Klay is better, but I don't agree with them.

On offense, Harden is just far more versatile and dangerous of a player. Thompson is a great shooter - better than Harden, but that's about where his offensive game ends. Klay is like Ray Allen or Reggie Miller - awesome shooter and will score when he is on in crazy bunches. Klay plays catch and shoot - he's the end of the play many times.

Harden is completely the opposite. He's a good shoot, but not at Klay's level. Still, he can distribute the ball and take it to the hole at great efficiency - far better than Klay can. Harden is a true triple threat player. And has for him not being able to play off the ball, I don't think that's true when people say that.

As for Defense, I think Klay is somewhat overrated and Harden is somewhat underrated. I give Klay a slight nod because his lateral quickness is better than Harden and is more important in a guard than Harden's strength.

You are right, but Klay has done that in the playoffs. As much as you may argue Harden has no help and Klay does, you still have to play well regardless of who is around you. You don't hear Lebron, Kobe, KD, Dwayne (some), MJ, Allen Iverson, etc.

Sounds like I am harsh on Harden, but I feel he can just as good as MJ, but doesn't do it every single playoff game.

a couple years ago it was james. now its becoming less and less of a debate. Harden may still edge him offensively, but looses badly in all other areas.

Klay hasn't been the primary ballhandler in playoffs. Klay is a great shooter and plays great team defense, but he simply hasn't had to fill Harden's role.

you're right about klay not having harden's responsibility, but if i was in a front office and i had to push my chips in for a guy......I mean it would be hard to go with james over klay. Granted, klay would require a different skill set around him, but He brings a lot to the table, where harden comes with so many risks.

Risks? I mean you can't expect Klay to run and be the focal point of an offense so I can't imagine picking Klay over Harden in any scenario where you don't have your number one guy. If you're building a team from scratch then you don't pick Klay over Harden.

    Great post....

I don't agree with you, but I respect your post...

For me Klay is the best SG in the league RIGHT NOW... Not last year or 2 years ago and maybe not even next year....

So basically you have a crystal ball huh. You just knew Jones was going have a down year. So now you think Klay will have a down year three years from now. Damn it boy one of these teams need to hire you asap since you can see in the future.

Dude you're is so damn comical because you actually believe the nonsense that you be spewing around here.

When will this myth of Klay being an elite defender finally end? Kyrie Irving just cooked him last night & the legend continues. Harden, Lillard, Westbrook & Irving have all had their way with him.

I'd pick James as well based on his potential. But I hope really hope he fulfills that and can get to that MVP level again or even better, and not be another Carmelo. He needs help though.

Nobody on here said anything about him being elite. And please show me where elite defenders actually shut down elite scores.

And you do know when elite scores are hot there is nothing you can do about it. Just hope they miss.

i cant argue that harden fits more into the alpha "team builder" role. but you cant argue that hes a knuckle head! my point is, you know you are getting a really solid all around guy with klay, whereas harden has attitude problems, doesn't play d, is selfish etc. etc. I'm going with klay because i don't want to build a team modeled around "superstars" that don't give a **** about winning.

You think that's why people on this board are talking negatively about Harden?

The thing is, how do we know Klay wouldn't have attitude problems if he were the face of a franchise and given the pressure of bearing the responsibility of a teams success?

Jimmy Butler was that hard working, quiet guy once, but then he started getting all the touches and accolades and he's become a hard team mate to deal with.

Klay...He's already pretty grizzly with the press about losses and he doesn't even bear the brunt of criticism when they lose. That falls on Curry and Green.

I just disagree that Harden doesn't care about winning or is knuckle head. Solid, all around guys are necessary to have, but you aren't winning without a harden level player.

Again, you acquire a Harden type player and you try to pair a Klay type player next him.

That's because that what sports heads do. There is nothing wrong with comparing players. Especially when they are technically placed in the same position. (Shooting guards). Yeah I know Harden plays PG majority of the time. But the books have him down as a shooting guard.
