Now you're talking. So Kyrie didn't really drop 40 on Klay. You just used an convenient number to insinuate that Klay isn't a good defender. LOL.
I wish larsv8 just posted the numbers for last 2 years. Who cares what Harden and Thompson did several years ago when Thompson was not that good. We are talking about the present.
No I didn't use a "convenient number" - I didn't really use any number at all. I don't think you even bothered to read the post you quoted before you went into the "SMH" routine - stop shaking your head, bro. The screen's not going anywhere - it's not being set by Draymond or Bogut. ^what "convenient number" is being used there? 2? I actually watched the video box score on NBA.com to check some of these claims - you can call up every Irving shot and assist if you'd like. Sometimes, Klay took Irving (actually more often than not, I watched the first 5-6 plays when I wrote "occasionally" yesterday morning and got bored and gave up - last night I watched the rest and it was probably closer to 75% ) Sometimes he took him and then handed him off. Either way it didn't have much of an effect- unless you count "not getting a vine made" of it, which is probably the only metric in which he has an indisputable lead over Harden. Basically, I did work and research rather than just blindly repeating sh-t that you heard Van Gundy say, spinning it into the tale of Klay, Ace Stopper, and writing "SMH" - so I guess I apologize to you for hurting your neck.
oh look at what your advanced DRtg shows. that Klay is apparently trash defensively especially compared to JH
It's unfair to judge Klay against Harden because Klay had to play against Harden, and Harden only had to play against Klay.
thats great. the whole point from the beginning is klay is by far not trash defensively. I don't even know why you're trying to say otherwise when you even acknowledged yourself he wasn't. smart move
Well....the numbers show that this postseason Klay has a negative DBPM, just like he had a negative DRPM during the regular season.....so the point is that Klay isn't a good defender. In fact, the numbers suggest that Harden was a considerably better defender this postseason than Klay. I really shouldn't have had to point that out to you.
The numbers weren't "this postseason." look again. I really shouldn't have had to point that out to you.
Good job, you finally found an example of me making a slight mistake. Your life is now complete. Looking up this year Klay has a -1.5 DBPM which is even worse than last year and James Harden had a 1.9 which is even better than last year....but you got me on the date even if the content of what I said was still completely accurate.
How do you account for the fact that Thompson always guards an offensive threat while Harden is hidden on the worst offensive wing?
Can you just chuckle and laugh at yourself, rather than getting defensive..just because I used your words to YOLO against you? Quit thinking everyone's trying to prove you wrong. You're not that important to us. I really shouldn't have had to point that out to you.
yeah lets just not take into account the fact that when one guy has to guard the leagues best on the perimeter every night while the other guards the worst offensive player on the floor.
Sure, Thompson always has to guard the better of the 2 guards because they want to hide Curry, but that doesn't make him good. I'm sure it affects the numbers a bit but not enough to call Thompson the best 2 way SG in the league or to suggest that he's some kind of elite defender. That's what all of this is in response to.
Liar, you know 1. There absolutely are those who live to try and prove me wrong. and 2. I really am that important to youse guise. Also, text often doesn't convey messages correctly, I didn't really mind that you pointed out me saying something wrong, actually I never really mind that when people are right about it. I was just kind of joking back.
