Ty has been fantastic the last few weeks. Definitely a keeper unless we get a huge upgrade, which Rubio is NOT.

I want to laugh, but I've never seen such an absurd statement resonate so soundly. Rep incoming.

Ty will fit soon. I have a great feeling he's going to be huge soon. He's already started to play better. Just wait until playoffs, I hope my 6th sense is right.
Yes I did. Ty was ballin out of his mind in Denver.
But Rubio has crazy handles, and for some reason I see him as a better fit with the Rockets. I dont know why, but I just do. It will probably never happen, but I just know he would be better than Ty here as a Rocket.

how is someone who can't shoot a better fit and the ball handling is irrelevant. he won't have the ball in his hands enough anyway

I think us fans thought Ty was gonna be more involved. Maybe hoping he was gonna control the ball. /shrug

It's not even that. We were hoping for just hit of the player he was the season before. There were ways to integrate him while letting them both handle the rock plenty.

It's very unfair to say the Ty Lawson move wasn't a good one. Yes, it didn't work out -- but hindsight is 20/20.

Given the circumstances and the information available (along with Ty making 2016 salary unguaranteed), this was the RIGHT move by Morey to take a chance on Ty for not much besides a 1st round pick + scrubs.

Oh crap! When I saw the thread had been bumped, I thought we had reacquired Lawson. I was happy, because when we signed D'Tony, my 2nd  thought was "well, at least he would have made Harden & Lawson work.

Now I'm back to pondering what coulda been with the rest of y'all. :(

Unfortunately Lawson was awful with or without McHale/JBB/Harden, C.Joseph destroyed him in the playoffs.

Kudos to morey for trying to bring him in. He just loves playing pickup ball style in the nba.

The Lawson trade combined with our nit wit owner's stubbornness really hurt our future chances at a championship in the next couple seasons. Less is his own worst enemy. We could be sitting on the 12th pick right now, or possibly even better if we had pulled the trigger at the trade deadline. And to think many of you wanted to give up TWO first round picks for Lawson.

Like others have said, even though Lawson bombed, evidence shows that almost no one saw it coming.

The worst anyone was saying about him was that he "wasn't a top 10 point guard", when even the stats suggested that he was top 15 at worst.

He even waived the 2nd year of his contract.... and then he imploded and torpedoed his own career. Dude is toast.

I think this is the worst drop I've seen apart from when Sprewell turned down 27M offer from Timberwolves because it wasn't enough to "feed his kids". Lawson went from star level pg to non even roster worthy how do you go this bad this fast?

It definitely was. His decline wasn't all physical, it was mostly between the ears.

I like how you exclude Daryl Morey from all criticism lol

If anything Morey's stubbornness set us back more than anything. Our offense is called Moreyball, not Lesball. It was Morey's idea to give the ball to Harden and let him isolate 95% of time. How is Les accountable for Morey's mistakes?
