Hey guys, been following along for about 5 yrs now and decided to join just to block fools like "DD" and others. Can someone tutor me on how to access the "ignore" button. Thanks.
Yall want a dude who can play defense and shoot 3s so badly then we should trade Harden to the Bucks for Khris Middleton, their 10th pick, and Michael trash-williams. Yall finally get rid of diva Harden who doesn't care about anything but himself, and get a player who has the same playstyle as Klay Thompson and is just as good defensively as Klay as is. I swear this board is filled with weirdos. Yall really don't like Harden, huh? I think the Bucks accept that trade within milliseconds and yall finally get a player like Klay Thompson. Weirdos.
LOL! If the Rockets had lost in 93-94 You so called rocket fans. . . would be telling the world how much better Patrick Ewing was than Dream . . . .. . . . Rocket River
SMH on people just pointing out on how great scorers scored on Klay and dismissing the fact how he was assigned the toughest defensive assignment series after series, as if that would somehow prove that he is not miles better than Harden on defense. I really wonder if you guys actually watched last night's game. You probably also conclude that Iggy isn't much of a defender since LeBron was beasting like a mad man on him.
I've really never seen this kind of turn on a player ever. Harden is probably the most hated player in the nba because even his team's fans hate him.
Klay is considered a pretty good defender by people who know what they are talking about. He's often put on he other teams better scorers and not hidden like a bad defender would be. Also almost made second team all NBA defense. It hasn't shown up in the public advanced stats which morey says aren't good anyway Last year the argument was Harden vs Steph, now it's Harden vs Klay, hopefully next year we aren't comparing him to Kris Middleton
Harden vs Klay isn't a real argument. Would be like starting a Lebron vs Giannis thread just b/c people hate Lebron. Nobody with even half a brain can make any reasonable argument to show Klay is better, or even in the same universe
Curry>Green>Thompson Klay did do a good job... Of stepping up from his cush role of 3rd best player on an amazing team to 2nd best while Curry was out.
Oh so because they are so good at roasting him we should give Klay props for what....Getting destroyed by these guys.....Elite defender my ass.
So now he goes from 2nd best to 3rd best.... Ok.... The fact is most people thought that the warriors would be easy pickings since Kerr and Curry were out... But the fact is they didn't crumble.. Klay and Green both stepped up and you have to give those guys credit... Even when curry was hurt in the playoffs Klay stepped up... Harden has yet to step in the playoffs this year or last year... Klay has an elite skill and thats shooting from anywhere on the court from the post, midrange and 3pt line. He is an above average defender Harden is known for drawing fouls mostly. He isnt an elite shooter or defender. He is a marketable player that gets high usage because is his isolation ability and shot creation.
Go back and look at what the 2 players did when curry was out in these playoffs. And if even on second glance you still think Klay was better than Green there sure is hell isn't anyway Klay was soooo much better that my statement was lol worthy. Klay scored a lot of points. Green did a lot of everything.
Now this is lol worthy. Hate the guy all you want and feel free to hate that his overall playoff numbers don't quite live up to his lofty regular season accomplishments, but he's absolutely had monster playoff games where he stepped up big.
I also conclude that you obviously don't watch games because this post is riven with inaccuracy (and also, you didn't even read the post of mine that you quoted, so good job). Thompson does not get the "toughest defensive assignment series after series". He didn't even get it for the whole game last night - he regularly alternated with other defenders and Golden state's switch heavy defending with small lineups tends to make this irrelevant even where he starts off guarding him. Thompson draws harder assignments than Curry but frankly that's as much a funciton of Curry needing to be protected than anything else.
I don't hate the guy, but the guy has not shown the leadership to even be in the same zip code with Klay... Harden has all the skills in the world, but has yet to involve into nothing more than a selfish player... He has yet to show anytime leadership. When Curry went down in the regular season and in the playoffs Klay stepped up. This has nothing about hating a player, it has to to do with where those two players are at in their career right now. Harden may have more talent, but Klay is ahead of him... T_Man
