Astros are likely to call up IF Danny Worth today. He's been red-hot at Fresno. This move is about 2 weeks past due, and agree that White is a logical choice, assuming nobody to the DL. Will also mean somebody gets DFA.
Finally get to see if Worth is an AAAA player or not. Cant hurt to see what he got. Play him at 3B and Valbuena at 1B for the time being.
Why not just call up both and let Luis platoon with Worth/Marwin? Do the Astros still think they have something to lose putting more unproven players in the lineup versus what they're already trotting out now? Even if Worth is actually called up, he'll likely get benched for the first few games anyways.
It's also possible they go with 12 versus 13 pitchers and send Devenski back down to stretch him out again in anticipation they might be trading veteran starters if things don't improve.

The only thing about sending White down is that puts Reed, Singleton, and White on the same team. What do they do with that?
[slight rant]As an aside, for some reason, it always bothered me that Singleton had a couple of buttons undone on his uniform. Seems to me you have to earn the right to wear your uniform non-standardly. [/end slight rant]
He used to play some LF when he was blocked by Howard. I hear he was beyond awful out there. Evan Gattis comes to mind as the worst OF I've ever seen for the Astros, and that says a lot given we used to pretend Daryle Ward could play the OF.
I think it should be required that the team tuck in their pants, for the high socks. the batting average is 10 points higher with those that wear them high than those that don't. Death star analytics brehs.
